1947-1542RESOLUTION NO. 15442 IN THE MATTER OF POST WAR PLAN PREPARATION REIMBURSEMENT. (TRUNK SEWER, LA PALMA AVENUE.) 1. WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944, (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one -half the cost of preparing engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and working and de- tailed drawings and specifications (hereinafter galled "Plans required for post -war public works projects described as "specific projects" in said Act; and. 2. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, hereinafter designated as "Local Agency desires to apply to the Director of Finance and /or the Post War Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, for an allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and 3. WHEREAS, Local Agency has proveded, or will make available upon approval of the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned; 4. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the afore- said application to the Director of Finance and /or the Post War Public Works Review Board, as the case may be, requesting allotment of Twelve hundred ninety -four ($1,294.00) Dollars being not more than one -half the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amount as may be approved by the Director of Finance and /or the Post War Public Works Review Board (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost of preparing said plans required), for a specific project to be undertaken by Local Agency and described as Trunk Sewer, La Palma Avenue. 5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such plans is Twenty -five hundred eighty -eight ($2,588.00) Dollars and that Local Agency has made provision for paying one -half or more of the cost of prepar- ing such plans. +1 6. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this appli- cation, E. P. Hapgood, City Engineer, City Hall, Anaheim, California, be and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above mentioned appli- cation on behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same to the Director of Finance and /or the Post War Public Works Review Board together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including submission to the Director of Finance of applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the expenditures made in preparing said completed plans.
