1947-15301 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 and RESOLUTION NO. 1u0 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR STATE AID IN PROVIDING TEM- PORARY HOUSING FACILITIES FOR VETERANS. 1. WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 29, Statutes of 1946 (1st Extra Session) has appropriated funds for al- location by the Director of Finance to local agencies defined there- in as a county, city and county, city, local housing authority or district of the State for the purpose of acquiring and establishing temporary and emergency housing facilities for veterans and their families and families of servicemen to the extent that federal aid is not available; and 2. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, hereinafter designated as "Local Agency", has entered into an agreement with the National Housing Administrator for the purpose of making available to Local Agency certain housing facilities and Local Agenoy desires to file an application with the Director of Finance under said Act for an allocation of the State's share of the estimated non federal cost of making said temporary housing facilities ready for occupancy, and an application for said purpose has been prepared and submitted to this legislative body for consideration; 3. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agenoy submit the aforesaid application to the Director of Finance requesting an allocation under said Act of Twenty -three thousand six hundred forty three Dollars ($23,643.00), or such amount thereof as may be allocate by the Director of Finance, as the State's share of not exceeding ninety per cent (9o%) of the estimated non federal cost of making said temporary housing facilities ready for occupancy; and 4. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the total estimated non -feller coat of making said housing facilities ready for occupancy is Twenty six thousand two hundred seventy Dollars ($26,270.00), and that Loca Agency has made provision as set forth in said application for payin not less than ten per cent (1O%)of such estimated non- federal cost; 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of said application, E. P. Hapgood, City Engineer, City Hall, Anaheim, California, be and he hereby is designated as the "Authorized Agent" of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign said application on behalf of Local Agency and submit the same to the Direetor.of Finance together with a certified detailed statement of the estimated non federal cost of making said housing facilities ready for occupancy and such other information as may be required; and said Authorized Agent is further directed as the representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations, conclude all arrange- ments and sign agreements, including submission to the Director of Finance of claims for payments, which may be necessary to secure payment of the State's share of said non federal cost.
