RESOLUTION NO. 72R-_157
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF THAT PORTION OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
DESCRIBED HEREIN AND RESERVING THEREFROM A
CERTAIN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC UTILITY PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
on the 4th day of April, 1972, declare by Resolution No. 72R-121
its intention to vacate and abandon certain real property herein
described subject to the conditions herein contained below and
did set the 25th day of April, 1972, for a public hearing thereon;
and
WHEREAS, on said 25th day of April, 1972, at 1:30 P.M.
in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim,
said public hearing was held; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence
submitted at said public hearing that that portion of the real
property described herein and in said Resolution of Intention
is unnecessary for present or prospective roadway and alley
purposes but that a certain public utility easement should be
reserved therein and subject to certain conditions herein below
stated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds that said public hearing was properly
held and that all notices were given and publications
made as required by law.
2. That that portion of the real property toward which
a request for vacation and abandonment was directed
is not necessary for present or prospective roadway
and alley purposes and does hereby order that said
portion, as herein set forth, be and it is hereby
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use.
3. That said portion of real property herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use is
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and is more particularly
described as follows, to wit:

Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot One in Tract No.
5000, as shown on a map recorded in Book 191, pages 28,
29 and 30, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange
County, said northeast corner being a point in a line
tangent to the beginning of a curve concave southwesterly
and having a radius of 13 feet; thence Easterly and South-
easterly along said curve through a central angle of 800
31' 13" an arc distance of 18.27 feet; thence S 180 04'
32" E, 103.05 feet to an intersection with the easterly
prolongation of the southerly line of said Lot One; thence
N 8P 24' 15" E, 60.83 feet to a point in the easterly
right of way line of Addington Drive, 60 feet wide, shown
running in a north-south direction on the map of said
Tract No. 5000; thence N 180 04' 32" W, 114.06 feet to
an intersection with the easterly prolongation of the north
line of Lot One in said Tract No. 5000, said point of

intersection being a point in a line parallel with and
30 feet southerly of the centerline of Addington Drive
running in an east-west direction, as shown on a map of
said Tract No. 5000, and Tract No. 6375, as shown on a map
recorded in Book 233, pages 31 and 32, Miscellaneous Maps
records of said Orange County; thence S 810 24' IS" W, 71.84
feet along said parallel line, also being the easterly
prolongation of the north line of Lot One in said Tract
No. 5000 to the point of beginning.
Reserving therefrom an easement for public utility purposes
over, under and across all that portion above described
lying within a strip of land 10 feet wide, the easterly
line of which is parallel with and 10 feet easterly of the
east line of Lot One of said Tract No. 5000, together with
all rights of ingress and egress thereto.
4. That said vacation and abandonment herein described
be granted subject to the following conditions:
(a) Applicant will remove existing street improve-
ments of said north-south Addington Drive that
lies within the area of the east-west Addington
Drive and reconstruct new curb, gutter, sidewalk
and paving to join existing curb, gutter and
sidewalk of said east-west Addington Drive. Said
removal and reconstruction to be done at no cost
to the City of Anaheim.
(b) Reservation of a public utility easement requested
by the Southern Counties Gas Company to accom-
modate an existing gas line, a portion of which
lies within the property line return areas pro-
posed for abandonment.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and
she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 25th day of April, 1972.
