A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
CREATING A SANITATION FUND AND AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT
OF GENERAL FUND FROM SUCH SANITATION FUND FOR MONEYS AD-
VANCED FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO COVER EXPENSES INCURRED
ON DOMESTIC SEWERS, JOINT OUTFALL SEWERS, GARBAGE COL-
LECTION, TRASH COLLECTION, INDUSTRIAL WASTES, WEED CLEAN
ING AND REMOVAL IN STREETS AND ALLEYS.
STREET CLLA1TING
WHEREAS,by Ordinance No. 703 the City Council of the
City of Anaheim did levy a sanitation tax for the purpose of rais-
ing revenue; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary to establish a separate
fund for the deposit of the revenue derived from said sanitation
tax; and
WHEREAS, money has heretofore been advanced monthly from
the general fund to cover expenses incurred in the maintenance of
sanitary facilities that should be paid from the sanitation fund.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, that there be and there is hereby created and
established a separate fund which shall be known as the sanitation
fund and that all funds derived from the sanitation tax and levy
created by Ordinance No. 703 be deposited in said sanitation fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer be,and
he is hereby authorized to reimburse the general fund monthly from
said sanitation fund to cover expenses incurred in the maintenance
and operation of domestic sewers, joint outfall Sewers, garbage
collection, trash collection, industrial wastes, and removal of
street cleaning,
weeds in streets and alleys, such reimbursement of the general
fund from said sanitation fund may be made by the issuance of one
warrant to cover all of such expenditures.
The foregoing Resolution was approved and signed by me
this 22nd day of October, 1946.
