CITY COUTOIL.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim requires the services of a
City Attorney to advise the City jouncil &nd other City Officials
on legal matters and to represent the City of Anheim in litigations
and other leal proceedings and to perform the duties usually re-
quired of a City Attorney,• and
HEREAS, P7IE3T311 TURNER aopers to this City Council to
be an attorney duly admitted to :ractice in all of the Court s of
the State of California and to be qualified for this position,
NOW 71-1EETORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said Preston Turner
be and he is hereby appointed to the office of City Attorney of the
City of flZnei:: duziri the pleare of the City Council. The w.ount
of compensation to be pi? by the City of Anaheim to sit.1 City
Attorney shall be until the furtheroorder of the City Council the
sum of Two Hundred Seventy-five Loilars (275.)U) per month, pro-
vided however, that in addition thereto for extra-ordlnary services
such as a)pearances in the Suoerior Court or as to commissions es-
tablished by law, such sums as the City 00unci1. may deem reasonable,
the amount thereof to be agreed Lu)on and fixed at the time of the
rendition of such services. Said City Attorney shall assume the
duties of sid office immeditely uPon the passage of this Resolu-
tion.
This Resolution passed and adopted this 10th day of
September, 1946, at a reuler meeting of said City Couneil.
