1946-14851 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 1485 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FIXING CHARGES FOR DISPOSAL OF INDUSTRIAL WASTES. WHEREAS, Section 12 of Ordinance No. 667 of the City of Ana- heim, adopted February 29, 19 4?1, provides that the City Council of said City shall have the right to make charges for the discharge of industrial wastes into the public sewerage system of said City, or into any municipal industrial waste pipe line of said City, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim: 1. That the charge for discharging industrial wastes into the public sewerage system and /or any municipal industrial waste pipe line of said City, is hereby fixed at the rate of Twenty Dollars ($20.00) per million (1,000,000) gallons of industrial waste so discharged; 2. That the charge herein fixed shall be collected by the Public Service Department of the City of Anaheim and shall be placed in the General Fund of said City; 3. That it shall be the duty of the City Engineer to deter- mine the amount of industrial waste discharged monthly into said sewerage system and /or any municipal industrial waste pipe line of said City by each person having a permit so to do and to report monthly to said Public Service Department such determinations; 4. That it shall be the duty of the Public Service Department to forward or otherwise present to each person having such permit a monthly statement of the amount in which such person is indebted to said City by reason of such charge; 5. That it shall be the duty of the person liable to pay such charge to pay the same within fifteen days after presentation to such person of such statement; 6. That any charge incurred, as herein provided, shall con- stitute a debt against the person chargeable therewith in favor of 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 said City and may be collected by suit instituted in any court of competent jurisdiction; 7. That in addition to the remedy provided in the immediate preceding clause numbered 6, said City Council reserves unto itself the other remedies set forth in said Section 12 of said Ordinance No. 667.
