1944-13721 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 1372 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, THAT STATE FINANCIAL AID EXTENDED BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR CIVILIAN DEFENSE PURPOSES IN SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, that said City Council approves and hereby authorizes application for aid for Civilian Defense purposes under provisions of Chapter SO5, Statutes 1943, (A.B.1672), and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the estimated budget for Civilian Defense for the City of Anaheim for the period commencing June 1, 1943, and ending May 31, 1944, as prepared by Beatrice M. Miller, City Auditor, be and the same is hereby approved; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Chas. A. Pearson, Mayor of the City of Anaheim and Chairman of the Anaheim Defense Council, be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to make application to the State Director of Finance to allocate to the City of Anaheim the sum of $101.52, representing one -half of said estimated budget for the purpose of Civilian Defense for the City of Anaheim; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Chas. A. Pearson, Mayor of the City of Anaheim and Chairman of the Anaheim Defense Council, be and he is hereby authorized and instructed to negotiate an agreement with the State Director of Finance covering the terms and conditions under which allocation of the amount of One Hundred One Dollars and Fifty -two Cents ($101.52) be granted to the City of Anaheim, by the State of California; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of One Hundred One Dollars and Fifty -two Cents ($101.52) is available from the General Fund Balance of the City of Anahei to be expended for Civilian Defense purposes in said City in an amount equal to the allocation requested from the Director of Finance, as evidenced by the Estimated Budget as submitted by the City Auditor of the City of Anaheim as ap- proved in the foregoing resolution; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the purpose for which State Aid is sought, is essential for adequate Civilian Defense in the City of Anaheim, and that a contribution of One Hundred One Dollars and Fifty -two Cents ($101.52) will be provided by the City Council of the City of Anaheim from its General Fund.
