WHEREAS, on December 7, 1941, at 1:42 otclock P. M.
there was established in the City of Anaheim a unit of the United
States Aircraft Warning Service under the direction of Mr. Glen A.
Peck; and
WHEREAS, for nearly two years, Mr. Peck, his assistant
officers and the members of the service have faithfully performed
their duties; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is deeply annreciative of
the services of these loyal men and women who month atter'month
gave of their time, braved inclement weather, and kept vigil
through the long nights, all to the end that our City and Country
might be protected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim, that on behalf of said City and the neonle
residing therein, it extends its grateful and sincere thanks to
Mr. Peck, his assis:ant officers and the members of the Anaheim
unit of the United States Aircraft Warning Service.
The foregoing resolution is signed and aooroved by me
this 28th clay of September, 1943.
