WHEREAS, heretofore there has been negotiated on behalf of
the parties signatory to the Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement an agree-
ment „with S. D. Samuels and Sam Walker, doing business under the
name of Agricultural Laboratory of Orange County, for the purchase
and removal by said Agricultural Laboratory of certain sludge de-
veloped in the operations of the Orange County Joint Outfall Sewage
Disposal Plant; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said proposed agreement is attached
hereto, and said proposed agreement in said form meets with the
approval of this City; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of the
parties concerned that said agreement in the form hereto attached
be executed by the City of Santa Ana through its Mayor and Clerk on
behalf of said parties signatory, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim
that the City of Anaheim hereby consents to the entering into of
said agreement and approves said agreement and authorizes the Mayor
and City Clerk of the City of Santa Ana to execute and deliver said
agreement in the name of the City of Santa Ana on behalf of the said
parties signatory to said Joint Outfall Sewer Agreement, provided
that the bond provided for in Paragraph 9 of said Agreement be in
the sum of $5000.00 rather than $500.00.
Passed and adopted at an adjourned regular meeting held
on the 7th day of September, 1943.

do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopt-
ed at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Anaheim held on the 7th day of September, 1943, by the following
vote of the members thereof:
