Av A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM CREATING CERTAIN COMMITTEES OF SAID COUNCIL AND DESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES. 'HEREAS, it has been the custom and policy of the Mayor of the City of Anaheim to appoint various committees of the City Counci to more efficiently carry on the work of said Council, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it wise to have record made of the names and duties of certain of such major committees; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit of Anaheim that it does hereby create and establish the following committees of said Council and fix their respective duties as follow:; 1. FINANCE COMMITTEE. This committee shall have supervision of the Auditor, Public Service Department, Store Keeper, and Tax Collector. It shall approve all warrants and payroll demands drawn against the Treasurer. It shall supervise the creation of the tentative budget and see that the books and financial records of the City and its officers are properly audited. 2. PUBLIC WORKS C0M ITTEE. 21 This committee shall have supervision over the Street 22 Department, the Department of Light, Power and Water, and of all work 23 having to do with domestic sewers. 24 3. PUBLIC PROPERTY DOMMITTEE. 25 This committee shall have supervision of the Park Depart 26 ment, of matters pertaining to street trees and also the management 27 of all ranches owned by the City. 28 4. PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE. 29 This committee shall have supervision over the Police De— partment, the Fire Department, the Welfare Department, the Building Inspector, the Trash Garbage Department and work on the Dyke. 1 5. GENERAL COL ITTEE. 2 This committee shall have supervision over the City Enginee 3 the City Shop Garage, the City Attorney, the City Hall, and all 4 automotive equipment owned or leased by the City. 5 6. OUTFALL SEWER COMU TTEE. 6 This committee shall consist of one member of the City 7 !Council who shall serve as the City of Anaheim's representative on 8 the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer. 9 AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the first four committees 10 above named shall consist of three members each, all of whom shall 11 be members of the City Council, one of the members of each committee 12 to be designated as Chairman thereof, and 13 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the General Committee shall 14 consist of one member, to -wit: the Mayor, and 15 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all appointments to the first 16 four committees above named and to the Outfall Sewer Committee and 17 all designations of Chairmen of the same shall be made by the Mayor, 18 subject to ratification by the Council, and 19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that nothing in this Resolution shall 20 be construed as prohibiting said Council from creating and appointing 21 other committees as shall be deemed necessary from time to time or 22 from changing the duties or membership of any committee, and 23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that by this Resolution the City 24 Council does not intend to divide the administration of the City 25 into divisions or departments, but that the administration of the 26 City government is fully reserved to the entire City Council in 27 accordance with the laws of the State of California. 28 This resolution is approved and signed by me this 28th day 29 of Epril, 1942. 30 31 32 Mayor of the City of Anaheim 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 STATE OF CALIFORNIA) COUNTY OF ORANGE ss CITY OF ANAHEIM I, Charles E.
