Councilman Yungbluth seconded the motion. RESOLUTION NO. 12 75 WHEREAS, the Great Creator has seen fit to surimon unto Himself our esteemed friend and fellow- citizen, George L. Bates, and WHEREAS, George L. Bates contributed largely to the accurate b Y surveys of Anaheim and vicinity, and WH :REAS, he was at all titles eager and willing to as:.ist in-all worthy causes for the promotion and progress of Orange County, and WHEREAS, his presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him; NOW, THEREFOR:, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that it deeply mourns the untimely passing of George L. Bates, and in the name of and on }behalf of the people of the City of Anaheim it extends its sincerest sympathy to those who survive him, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolutioni be forwarded to his bereaved wife, Grace F. Bates. On roll call the foregoing resolution was passed ar.d adopted by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN, Pearson, Van Wagoner,Yungbluth,Martenet,Jr. and Sheridan.
