ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA TELEPHONE 3456 RESOLUTION NO. /084'3 WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of that certain real property described as Lots 14 and 15 in Block 4 of Tract 422, Lots 15 and 16 in Block "A" of Tract No. 549, and Lot 4 in Block 2 of Tract No. 304, all of such lots being more particularly described hereafter, -and WHEREAS, said lots have been acquired by said City by deed from the County Tax Collector of the County of Orange, State of California, in such cases made and provided, and by the purchase of quitclaim deeds from the former owners of the fee title, and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has no use for said property or any part thereof for public purposes, and the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds that it is for the benefit and best interests of said City that the said property should be sold and conveyed into private ownership, in order that the same may again be placed upon the tax rolls of the City of Anaheim and the County of Orange, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that it does hereby declare that it intends to and will at a regular meeting of said council to be held on the 12th day of August, 1941, sell the above described property upon the conditions and in the manner hereinafter set forth: 1. Sealed bids will be accepted by the City Clerk for the purchase of said lots up to 8:00 o'clock P. M. of August 12, 1941. Upon the opening of said bids the same will be announced publicly, and thereupon any person present may increase the highest bid for any parcel by a bid at least ten (10 per cent higher than the highest thereof, and thereupon the City Council will entertain additional oral bids. This property is offered upon the understanding that in the event said City is unable to convey title free and clear 3. With each deed the City will deliver to the purchase a policy of title insurance to be issued by the Orange County Title Company in an amount not to exceed the purchase price, insuring the title to be in the purchaser free and clear of all encumbrances, except conditions, restrictions and rights of way of record. 4. The City Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids offered. In the event that no written bids are received on any parcel, the Council will entertain oral bids upon the terms and prices herein set forth at the time of sale herein set forth. for sale: 5. Lot 14 in Block 4 of Tract 422, (Mills Park) as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 48, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. Lot 15 in Block 4 of Tract 422, (Mills Park) as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 48, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. The lowest acceptable bid on this lot is *175.00. Parcel 3. Lot 16 in Block "A" of Tract No. 549, (Sycamore Square) as per map recorded in Book 18, Page 23, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. The lowest acceptable bid on this lot is $175.00. Parcel 4. Lot 4 in Block 2 of Tract No. 304, (Mills Park) as per map recorded in Book 14, Page 50, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California. The lowest acceptable bid on this lot is $155.00, together with the surrender for cancellation to the City Treasurer of the City of Anaheim of the 1911 Act Bond upon said property, which can be purchased at the Southern County Bank of Anaheim for $120.00. 6. The successful bidder shall pay the full balance of the purchase price at the time of the issuance of a deed and policy of title insurance to him, and in the event that he fails so to do, the City shall be without obligation to make delivery of deed. 7. In the event that identical bids are received, the first received shall receive priority. Bid forms may be obtained from the City Clerk.
