RESOLUTION NO. 1209
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO INVITE PROPOSALS
FOR FURNISHING CAPACITORS, CAPACITOR HANGERS
AND WEATHERPROOF COPPER WIRE
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
That the City Clerk of said City be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to publish a notice by two insertions in the "orange County News," a
newspaper of general circulation, published in said City, calling for sealed pro-
posals for the furnishing to said City the following approximate quantities of
capacitors, capacitor hangers and weatherproof copper wire, in accordance with
"Specifications for individual outdoor pole -type capacitor units and hangers,
Series of 1940 City of Anaheim and "Specifications for weatherproof insulated
copper wire, Series of 19+0 City of Anaheim."
Said proposals to be received up to eight o'clock P. M. of Tuesday the
12th day of November, 1940, at the office of the City Clerk.
The City Council of said City reserves the right to reject any and all
bids and parts of bids and to accept bids in whole or in part. Said bids shall
be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check for at least ten percent of the
bid, payable to the City of Anaheim and the successful bidder or bidders will be
required to furnish within ten days after award of contract, a surety bond payable
to said city and subject to approval of said city council, in an amount not less
than fifty percent of the aggregate total amount of said contract, which bond shall
be conditioned upon the faithful performance of said contract.
The foregoing resolution is approved and signed this 22nd day of
October, 1940.
