A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ESTABLISHIN
A POLICY WITH RESPECT TO CONTRIBUTIONS MADE TOWARD THE REPAIR AND
REPLACEMENT OF SIDEWALKS AND CURBS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
That it does hereby fix and determine its policy with
respect to contributions made toward the repair and /or replacement
of sidewalks and curbs as follows:
When any person shall desire or be reeuired
to repair and /or replace any public sidewalk and /or
curb within the City of Anaheim, by reason of any
dangerous, broken or deteriorated condition thereof,
he may make written application to said City Council
requesting contribution toward such repair and /or
replacement.
Upon receiving such application the City Council
shall designate and instruct such person or persons,
as it shall determine necessary and proper, to in-
vestigate and report upon such application. Upon
receiving such report, if the City Council shall deter-
mine that the sidewalk and /or curb described in such
application is in a dangerous, broken or deteriorated
condition, and by reason thereof is dangerous to the
public welfare and safety, then said Council, in its
sole discretion, may, but under no circumstances shall
be required to, contribute to the payment of such
repair and /or replacement to the following extent:
(1) For the repair and /or replacement of sidewalk,
one -half the cost of such repair or replacement, but
under no circumstances more than 8¢ per square foot;
(2) For the repair and /or replacement of curb,
one -half of the cost of such repair or replacement, but
under no circumstances more than 25¢ per lineal foot.

of June, 1940.
All repair and /or replacement work, wherein the
City shall contribute, shall be done in accordance with
specifications established by the City Engineer and
subject to the inspection and approval of such Engineer.
No payments contemplated hereunder shall be made until
said Engineer shall have forwarded to the City Council
his approval of such such repair and /or replacement
work.

certify that the foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Anaheim, held on the 25th day of June, 1940,
by the follolrinh vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Van Wagoner, Yuntbluth, Martenet,Jr. and Sheridan.
NOES: COUNCILNN: None
ABSENT ALID NOT VOTING: COUNCILMEN: None
And I further certify that the Mayor of the City of Anaheim approved
and signed said resolution on the 25th day of June, 19=10.
