RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AstiAHEIM
RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUIJC IL OF THE CITY OF AITAHEI
that the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Manchester Avenue
is, in t'-:e opinion of said City Council, an extraordinarily
hazardous crossing, and that the proper control of traffic at
said intersection requires that traffic proceeding along both said
streets come to a stop before proceeding through said inter-
section, and that Lincoln Avenue in said city is a State highway,
known as Highway number 178, and Manchester Avenue is a State
Highway, known a.s Highway number 174,
IT IS FURTHER RESULVED BY SAID CITY COUNCIL
that the City of Anaheim apply to the State Department of Public
V'J'orks, Division of State Highv,ays, and said City of Anaheim does
hereby apply to said Department, reeuestin. that either said
State Department of public Works erect and maintain boulevard stop
signs at both State Highway 4 178 and State Highway -# 174 at
the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Manchester Avenue, or
that if said Department does not desire to erect said boulevard
stop signs, that said Department grant permission to the City of
Anaheim to erect boulevard stop signs at the intersection of said
highways.
The foregoing resolution is signed and approved by me this
v3rd day of Burch, 1937.
