An additional wattage of not to exceed 50 watts per gallon of tank capacity, but in no event more than a total of 2 KW is allowable when used in a booster heating element individually controlled by a separate thermostat, set to cut in only when the temperature of the top one —third (1/3) of the tank capacity is 20 deg. F. below the temperature setting of the bottom thermostat. The City may, at its election and expense, install a time switch on the water heater service to cut off the heating element, controlled by the bottom thermostat, between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 9:100 P.M.each day, or such other hours as the city may specify from time to time. kd) Major equipment consists of any device for domestic use that is rated by the manufacturer at one or more kilowatts. In the case of hoists,elevators, welding machines, furnaces and other installations where the energy demand is intermittent, or subject to violent fluctuations, the city may base the con- sumer's maximum demand upon a 5- minute interval instead of a 15- minute interval. (d) Any consumer may obtain the rates for a larger install- ation by guaranteeing the rates and minimum charge applicable to the larger installation. (e) Where the primary use of power is seasonal, the minimum charge may, at the option of the consumer, be made accumulative over a twelve month period. (f) Maximum demand meters when used will be installed and maintained by the city at its expense. (g) Any demands for installation in excess of 250 H.P. occuring between the hours of 11 P.M. and 6 A. M. of the followin day will not be considered in computing charges under the schedul (h) Whenever,upon test, any motor is found to be deliver- ing more than 1250 of its capacity as indicated by its name plate rating, the city may disregard the name plate rating and base its charges upon the actual output as calculated from test. (1) On application by the consumer, where the maximum dema. is not less than 250 kilowatts and where the kilowatt hours con- sumed in any month exceed the lagging reactive kilovoltampere ho used in that month, a credit allowance on this schedule will be made on such excess kilowatt hours at the rate of eight - tenths (0.8) of a mill per kilowatt hour. (c) Under this schedule the consumer may connect his wires at his own risk and expense to the city service and ahead of the city's meter, provided such lines are single phase, 230 volts or less and consumer's apparatus consists of one motor and does not exceed 3 HP capacity. It is required, however, that the city be notified prior to each connection being made. (d) Consumer may elect, where the circuit and. meter already in use are of adequate proportions to furnish temporary power of the character above mentioned, to take service from the existing meter at the regular rate applicable to said meter, provided the tem— porary user makes a satisfactory arrangement with the consumer of record. (c) The service charge is payable in six monthly installments during the months of May to October, inclusive. The energy charge is payable monthly as energy is used. (d) Any consumer may obtain the rates for a larger installatic by guaranteeing the rates and service charge of the larger installation. Such application for use of water as aforesaid 19 shall be made to the Superintendent of the Water Department of 20 the City of Anaheim. If said application be granted by the said 21 Superintendent of the Water Department of the City of Anaheim, 22 said Superintendent shall allot to the consumer a specific time, 23 and said water shall be used by the consumer at such time as is 24 specified by the Superintendent of the Water Department of the 25 City of Anaheim, and in no case shall said Superintendent of the 26 Water Department permit said consumer to use water for the purposes 2 aforesaid except between the hours of eight (8:00) o'clock P.M. 28 to six (6;00) o'clock A.M. of the following day. 29 Said consumer may terminate said Service at any time upon 30 giving notice to the Superintendent of the Water Department of the 31 City of Anaheim,and after such notice,said service will not be 32 reconnected until an additional service fee of Two($2.00) Dollars shall have been paid.
