AUTHORIZING THE STREET SUPERINT7NDENT TO CAUSE THE
REMOVAL OF WEEDS AND RANK GROWTHS FROM TROPFRTY WITHIN
THE CITY.
iMEREA5 on the 9th day of May, 1933, the City Council
of the City of Anaheim passed a resolution declaring that
certain weeds and rank growths were growing upon certain
lots, ,grounds and reel property within said City; and
1 9HEREAS, said resolution directed the Street Superinten-
dent of said City to notify the owners of such property
upon which such weeds and rank growths were growing, in
accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 488; and
WHEREAS, said. Street Superintendent has caused a notice
entitled "Notice to Destroy Reeds" to be posted uponeach
lot or parcel of real property upon which weeds and rank
growths were growing, which said posting was completed on
the 18th day of May, 1933, as appears from the affidavit of
`stray Pomeroy on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said City; and
WHEREAS, more than ten days have elapsed since the
completion of said posting:, and certain owners of property
have failed to remove said weeds and rank growths in
accordance with said notices posted, which said property is
shown on a map entitled "ZVeed Map, 1933," on file in the
office of the City Engineer;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim, that the Street Superintendent of said
City be and he is hereby authorized to cause the removal,
by the municipal forces, of the weeds and rank growths from
said lots and parcels of real property the owners of which
have failed to comply with said "Notice to Destroy needs ";
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the cost of removing such
deeds and rank growths, together with the cost of such
incidental expense and clerical work as may apply thereto,
shall become a lien upon such respective lots and parcels
of real property, and shall be collected as provided in
said Ordinance No. 488;
.The foregoing resolution is approved and signed this
13th day of June, 1933.
