02/11/1930-007b IN THE MATTER OF PAVING SOUTH PALO STREET IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 217. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING OF SOUTH PALM STREET FROM BROADWAY TO VERMONT AVENUE. RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: Section 1 WORK PROPOSED: That the public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the City��uncil of the City of Anaheim to order the improvement of Sou Palm Street from the southerly eutb line of 'hest Broadway to the northerly line of West Vermont Avenue, in said city, by the doing of the following street work: Grading the roadway of said street to the official grade, including the removal of trees and the moving of fences and irrigation pipe lines now located on the public right -of -way; the paving of said roadway with asphaltic concrete pavement six (6) inches thick and nominally forty --f iwand one -half (45'.5) feet between gutters; removing present curb and sidewalk along the westerly side of said roadway between Broadway and Santa Ana Street; constructingr standard concrete sidewalk along the westerly like of said street from the southerly line of Broadway to a po t 344 feet southerly therefrom; constructing standard concrete Eurb where present curb has become broken; constructing standard concrete gutter along present curb; constructing standard combined concrete curb and gutter along both sides of said roadway except where curb is'already constructed along the easterly side thereof; paving driveway crossings and approaches along both sides of said roadway, where such crossings and approaches have not been con- structed or have become broken, with Class A concrete six (6) inches thick; constructing corrugated iron pipe waterways across said roadway at the northerly curb lines of Santa Ana Street and South Street„ with the necessary pipe inlets and concrete inlet, outlet and cleanout boxes, extending the present concrete pipe waterway moss said roadway at the southerly curb line of South Street, and reconstructing the outlet box therefor; and constructing gas service lines from the gas main to the parkway in front of each lot or parcel of land along both sides of said street where such property has not been provided wit]#uch service, said service lines to unsubdivided property to be at intervals not exceeding 200 feet. Section 2 ASSESSMENT DISTRICT: THAT, WHEREAS, in the opinion of said City Council, said contemplated work and improvement is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, said City Council hereby makes the expense of said work and improvement chargeable upon a certain district within said City of Anaheim, which district said City Council hereby dellares to be the district benefited by said w ork and improvement and to be assessed to pa t cos -1- Thereof, and which said district includes the following lots and parcels of land, to —wit: IN VINEYARD LOTS, as per map recorded in Book 4 of Deeds pages 629 and 630, Records of Los Angeles County•. The westerly 125 feet of the easterly 135 feet of Lots F -6, G-6 ( except that portion included within the alley), and H -6; and the easterly 120 feet of the westerly 132.50 feet of the northerly 212 feet of Lot G-5. IN RE —PLAT OF ORCHARD PARK TRACT, as per map recorded in Book 72 Page 6, Miscellaneous daps, Records of Orange Co The westerly 125 feet of the easterly 135 feet of Lots 4, 5, 6, and 7; and the westerly 125 feet of Lots 8 and 9. IN PALOMAR TRACT, as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 40, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County: Lots 1 to 9 inclusive. IN CALIFORNIA SQUARE, as per map recorded in Book 16, Page 7, Miscellaneous Maps,Records of Orange County: Lots 8 to 14 inclusive, Block D. IN HESS SUBDIVISION, as per map recorded in Book 15, page 14, Miscellaneous baps, Records of Orange County: Lots 12 to 22 inclusive, Block .D. IN DAVIS BROTHERS' ADDITION, as per map recorded in Book 310 of Deeds, Page 176, Records of Los Angeles County: Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block Co. The westerly 76.75 feet of Lot 10 and of the northerly 30 feet of Lot 11; all of the southerly 47.5 feet of Lot 11, and all of Lots 12, 13 and 14, Block D. IN REGIER SUBDIVISION, as per map recorded in Book 6, Page 37, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County: Lot 1. The exterior boundary line of said assessment district are as shown on the diagrams marked nd designated "Plan for Paving South Palm Street, Assessment District No. 217, Job No. 30 on file in the office of the city engineer of'said city, and said diagrams shall govern as to all details of the extent of said assessment district. Section 3.. CITY PORTION: That the cost and expense of paving street inter— sections and opposite terminations along said roadway to be improved, Will be paid for by said City out of its Improvement Fund. Section 4 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS: That said work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, which said plans were adopted by said City Council on the 11th day of Feb— ruary, 1930, and are marked and designated "Plan for Paving South Palm Street, 11ob No. 30," consisting of four sheets; also Drawings S -2 and S -3 showing standard curb, gutter and waterways, all of which plans are on file in the office of the city engineer; and which specifications, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city, are entitled and designated as follows: Attest: t , Q �- o City Clerk of the Cit f Anaheim. 0 0 a a 121 A4 wi "Specifications No. 39, Concrete Pipe," "Specifications No. 40, Corrugated Iron Culverts," "Specifications No. 44, For Concrete Mork," "Specifications No. 45, General Specifications for Public Work" and "Specifications No. 48, Asphaltic Concrete Pavement." Section 5 BONDS That serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of $25.00 or over for the cost and expenses of said work and im- provement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period ending nine years from the second day of January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November following their date, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be pay- able, by coupon, on the seand day of January every year after the fifteenth day of the next November following their date until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be paid semi - annually, by doupon, on the seand days of January and July respectively, of each year, at the rate of six (6) per cent per annum on all sums unp paid, until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Section 6 DATE OF HEARING: That said City Council hereby fixes Tuesday, the 11th day of March, 1930, at the hour of eight o ; clock P.M., at the council chamber of said City Council in the City Hall in said olty, as the time and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before said City Council and show cause why said proposed work and improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution; provided, all such protests must be in writing and must be delivered to the City Clerk before the hour set for the hearing of Qbjections. Section 7 PUBLICATION: That the Anaheim Bulletin is hereby designated, as the newspaper printed, published and cirdulated in said City, in which this resolution shall be published, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this resolution by two successive insertions in'said newspaper. Section 8 POSTING NOTICES: That the Street Superintendent of said City shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted aling the line of said contemplated work or improvement and in front of all property liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form required by law. Section 9 IMPROVEMENT ACT: That all of the herein proposed work and provement shall be done and said serial bonds shall be issued under and in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Calif- ornia, designated the "Improvement Act of 1911," and all acts amendatory thereof. The foregoing Resolution of Intention is approved, signed and attested this 11th day of February, 1930.
