RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM„
WHEREAS, the Union Oil CoinnanY of California has made
application to the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Orange, asking said Board to grant a. franchise to said
company to transport water through pipe lines over and
across County highways within the County of Orange,
through which pipe lines the Union Oil Company of Califdrni&
intends to transport water from the Santa Ana River shed
to property lying without said water shed, and,
WHEREAS, this City Council deems it highly detrimental
to the interests of the citizens of this City for said
franchise to be granted by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the City
Council of the City of Anaheim, protest against the granting
of said franchise to the Union Oil Company of California
by said Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, and
earnestly request that said Board of Supervisors of the
County of Orange deny the application of said company fdr
said franchise.
The foregoing Resolution is signed and approved by
me this 8th day of November, 1928.
