10/25/1928-012IN THE 'MATTER OF TREE PLANTING ON CHERRY, CHESTNUT CP'PRESS, DIAMOND, ELM, INDIANA, ILLINOIS, OAK OHIO PEARL, 0UTM, SANTA ANA, THIRD SOUTH, THALIA, VEST AND WALNUT HT TS, AND ON CRONE, CARLETON, DAMON, ELLSWORTH, PYTHIAS, STUECKLE AND VALENCIA AVENUES, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. RESOLUTION ADOPTING REPORT OF PLA I- TING COZ ISSION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, on the 9th, day of August, 1928, passed its Resolution of Inten- tion No. 214, declaring its intention to order the punting of trees on Cherry, Chestnut, Cypress, Diamond, Elm, Indiana, Illinois, Oak, Ohio, Pearl, Santa Ana, South, Third South,, Thalia, West and Walnut Streets, and on Crone, Carleton, Damon, Ellsworth, Pythias, Stueckle and Valencia Avenues, in the City of Anaheim.; and IJEREAS, the said Resolution of Intention directed the Plannin Commission of the City of Anaheim to file with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim p, written report showing the planit and specifications for the proposed work, an estimate of the cost of said improvement, a diagram of the property affected or benefited by the proposed work and improvement, and the pro- posed assessments of the total amount of costs and expenses of the proposed improvement, and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim on the 25th, day of October, 1928, filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, this repport, in writing, showing the above men- tioned facts, and this City Council having duly considered said report; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim, that the report of the Planning Commission for the planting of trees on the above- rmamed streets be, and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and -1- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Thursday the 22nd, day of November, 1928, be and the same is hereby fixed as the day, 8 o1 clock P. Y. , as the hour and the council chamber of se.id. city council as the place, when and where anyone having any objections to the proposed work and improvement or to the proposed assess- ments therefor, or any objections to the work to be done as reco,aimended in said report, may be heard try said city council. All of said work and improvement shall be done under and in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Calif- ornia entitled "An Act Providing for the Planting, Protection, Maintenance, Removal and Change of Trees, Shrubs, Plante, and Grass Along and in Public Streets, Avenues, Lanes, Alleys, Courts, Places and Path-ways within Municipalities, and Pro- viding a Method for the Assessment of the Costs and Expenses Thereof," approved June 7, 1915. All of said work will be done in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the Planning Coi nission and adopted by this City Council, which plans and specifications are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim. The Superintendent of Streets is hereby instructed to cause a notice of the proposed work and improvement and of the passage of this Resolution to be published for a period of two days in the Anaheim Bulletin, a daily newspaper published and circulated in the City of Anaheim, and to cause a similar notice to be posted as provided by Latq.
