BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
Section 1: That the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and that it:ds the intention of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim to order the following work and improvement to be
made in said city, to -wit:
That trees be planted in the parkways of the following streets
or portions of streets:
(a) On both sides of East and West Ohartret Streets
between Atcb1son and Citron Streets;
(b) On both sides of East and West Cypress Streets be-
tween Orange and Citron Streets, excepting therefrom the northerly
side of said West Cypress Street between Lemon and Palm Streets;
(c) On both sides of East Adele Street between Orange
and Los Angeles,Streets;
(d) On the northerly side of East Sycamore Street be
tween East and Orange Streets; on the southerly side of last
Sycamore Street between Orange and Olive Streets; on both sides
of East and West sycamore Streets between Olive and Lemon Streets;
on the northerly side of West Sycamore Street between Lemon and
Palm Streets; on the southerly side of lost sycamore Street between
Palm and Janes Streets;
(e) On both sides of last and West Alberta Streets
between Olive and the westerly and of said Alberta Street;
(f) On the northerly side of East Wilhelmina Street from
the westerly right -of -way line of the Union Pacific Railroad Company
to Olive Street; on both sides of East and West Wilhelmina Streets

between Olive Street and the westerly end of said Wilhelmina
Street.
(g) On both sides of Nast and West North Street from
the westerly right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad
Company to Dickel Street; on the northerly side of West North
Street between Dickel and Janss Streets; on the southerly side
of West North Street from Palm Street to the alley next westerly
therefrom;
(h) On both sides of La Verne Street between Los
Angeles and Palm Streets;
(i) On both sides of Mille Drive between Olive and
Los Angeles Struts;
(j) On the southerly side of East La Palma Avenue
from the westerly right -of -way line of the Union Pacific Railroad
Company to Olive Street; and on both sides of Nast and West La
Palma Avenue between Olive and Palm Streets.
Section : That said trees, after planting, shall be under
the care of the City of Anaheim for a period of three years.
Section 3: That the proposed improvements mentioned in.
Section 1 hereof are hereby referred to the Planning Commission
of said city, and said Planning Commission is hereby directed to
make and file with the 01erk of the City of Anaheim a report in
wtiting, presenting the following;
(a) Plans and specifications for the work to be per-
formed, and the general method or manner of making the improvement.
(b) An estimate of the cost of said improvement, and of
the incidental expenses in connection therewith.
(c) A diagram of the property aff4ofed or benefited by
the proposed work or improvement, which diagram shall show each
separate lot, piece or parcel of land, and the relative location of
the same to the work proposed to be done, all within the limits of

the assessment district, each of which lots, pieces or subdivision
of land shall be given a separate number in red ink upon said diagram.
(d) The proposed assessment of the total amount of the
costs and expenses of the proposed improvement (including all in-
cidental expenses,* upon the lots, parts of lots, and lands within
said assessment district as shown by said diagram, sufficient to
cover the total expenses of the improvement. Each of said lots,
parts of lots, and lands shall be separately assessed in proportion
to the estimated benefits to be received by it. Said assessment
shall roC to said lots, parts of lots an ands upon said diagram
by the respective red ink numbersthereof, and shall show the names
of the owners, if known, otherwise designating them as unknown.

made and the assessment therefor shall be levied pursuant to the
provisions of A 8218 of the legislature of the State of California,
designated as the $Tree Planting Act of 1915."
The foregoing resolution of intention is approved and
signed this 22nd day of December, 1927.
