RESOLUTION'OT INTENTION NO. 212
BE IT RESOLSZD BY THE CITY OCIL OF THE CITY OT ANAHEIM:
Section 1: That the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and that it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Anaheim to order the following work and improvement to
be made in said city, to -wit:
That trees be planted in the parkways of the following
streets or portions of streets:
(a) On both sides of North Claudina Street between Center
and Chartres Streets, and between Cypress Street and La Palma
Avenue; en both sides of South Claudina Street between Center and
Santa Ana streets, and between Ellsworth and Ferment Avenue;
(b) On both sides of Borth Emily Street between Center and
Sycamore Streets and between Mills Drive and La Palma Avenue; an
both sides of South Emily Street between Water and South Streees;

Street between Cen-
ter Street
and La
Palma
Avenue;
on both sides
of South Philadel-
phis Street between Broadway and Santa Ana Streets and between
Water Street and the southerly end of said Philadelphia Street;
(d) On both aides of North and South Olive Streets between
La Palma Avenue and a line parallel with and 186 feet southwardly
from the southerly line of Valencia Avenue;
(e) On both sides of Melrose Street between Center and Santa
Ana Streets;
(f) On both sides of Eroeger Street between Center and
Santa Ana Streets;

(g) On both sides of Santa Fe Street between Chartres and
Cypress Streets;
(h) On both sides of Sabina Street between Cypress and
Sycamore Streets and between W1 Street and La Palma Ave-
nue;
(i) On both sides of Topeka Street between Center and Onress
Streets and between *ilhelmina Street and La Palma Avenue;
Q) On both sides of Pauline Street between Cypress and
Sycamore Streets and between Wilhelmina Street and La Palma Ave-
nue ;
(k) On both sides of North Pine Street between Sycamore
Street and the northerly end of said Pine Street; on both sides
of South Pine Street bd*ween Center and Sant reets;
(1) On both sides of Forth Bush Street between Sycamore
Street and the northerly end of said Bosh Street; on both sides
of South Hush Street between Center and Santa Ana Streets;
(m) On both sides of North Rose Street between Sycamore
Street and the northerly end of said Rose Street; on both sides
of South Rose Street between Center and Santa Ana Streets,
(n) On both sides of forth and South Citron Streets between
Cypress and Water Streets;
(o3 On both sides of forth Janos Street between North Oteet
and the northerly end of said Janos Street;
(p) On both sides of North Pine Street between North Street
and the northerly end of said Pine Street;
(q) On both sides of North Los Angeles Street from the north
line of La Palma, Avenue to the east line of North Palm Street.
,am That said trees, after planting, shall be
under the care of City of Anaheim for a period of three years.
&ction A That the proposed improvements mentioned in
Section 1 hereof are hereby referred to the Planning Oommiss ion
of said city, and said Planning Commission is hereby directed to

make and fife with the Olerk of the City of Anaheim a report in
writing, presenting the following:

(a) Plans and specifications for the work to be performed,
and the general method or manner of making the improvement.
(b) An estimate of the cost of said improvement, and of the
incidental expenses in connection therewith.
(c) A diagram of the property affected or benefited by the
proposed work or immprOvement, which diagram shall show each Sep-
arate lot,pieee or parcel of land, and the relative location of
the same to the work proposed to be done, all within the limits
of the assessment district, each of which lots, pieces or sub -
divisions of land shall be given a separate number in red ink up-
on said diagram.
(d) The proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs
and expenses of the proposed improvement (including all incidental
expenses) upon the lots, parts of lots, and lands within said as-
sessmeht „district as shown by said diagram, sufficient to cover the
total expenses of the improvement. Bach of said lots, parts of lots,
and lands sha3.1 be sepMetely assessed in proportion to the esti-
mated benefits to be received by it. Said assessment shall refer
to said lots, parts of lots and lands upon said diagram by the
respective red ink numbers thereof , and shall show the names of the
owners, if known, otherwise designating them as unknown.
ti -j: That all of said work and improvement shall
be made and the assessment therefor shall be levied pursuant to the
provisions of Act 8316 of the legislature of the State of Oalifornia,
designated as the 'Tree Planting Act of 193.5.
