IN THE MATTER OF INSTALLING ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTS ON
PORTIONS OF NORTH UKOR NORTH CLE11ENTINE, W1V SYCAMORE and ZEYN
ETREE+8, IN THE CITY OF ANASEIM.
RESOLUTION ORDERING WORRY
RESOLVED, that whereas the Board of Trustees of the City of
Anaheim did on the 14th. day of July, 1927, pass its Resolution of
Intention No. 208, declaring its intention to order the hereinafter
described work to be done and improvements to be made in said city,
which Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published as re-
quired by law, as appears from the affidavit of Lotus Loudon now on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and whereas,
notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 208 head—
ed "Notices of Improvementl were duly and legally posted along the
line of said contemplated work and improvement and in front of all
the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on and along all
the open streets and alleys within the assessment district described
in said Resolution of Intention, in the time, form, manner and
number as required by law, after the passage of said Resolution of
Intention, as appears from the affidavit of Fred E. Bates, who per.
sonally boated the same for the Street Superintendent of said city,
and who, upon the completion of the posting of said notices, filed
said affidavit in the office of the city clerk, making oath that he
completed the posting of said notices on the 20th. day of July, 1927;
and whereas, .protests or objections presented
::W in the time, form, and manner as required by law, and the City
Counoil of said city having now acquired jurisdiction to order the
proposed improvement, it is hereby
RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require the
work herein described and the City Council of the City of Anaheim

hereby orders the following Rork to be done and improvement to be made
in said city, to -wit;
That ornamental) street lights with single*.light cast iron stand-
ards be installed on both sides of North Lemon Street from the north-
erly line of West Sycamore Street to the south line of West La Palma
Avenue; on both sides of Worth Clementine Street from the northerly
line of West Sycamore Street to the southerly line of Xo6t Forth
Street; on both sides of West sycamore Street from the westerly line
of North Los Angeles Street to the easterly lute of North Lemon
Street; and on btkh sides of Zeyn Street :from the northerly line
of West Sycamore Street to the southerly line of West North Street;
said proposed work to include a concrete transformer vault, trans-
formers, and all labor and material required an the food lines from
service points to food -in standards.
The city C lerk of said city is hereby directed to post a
notice of said work, together with the specifications therefor, con4
spicuously for five days can or near the door of the council chamber
of said city Council, inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing
the work ordered, Se is also directed to publish twice a notice
inviting such proposals, and referring to the specifications posted
or on file, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a daily newspaper published
and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that purpose.
Sach proposal or bid shall be accompanied by a check payable
to the City of Anaheim, certified by7 a responsible bank for an amount
which shall not be less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the
proposal, or by a bond for the said amount and so payable, signed by
the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer
competent to administer an oath, in double the said amount over and
above all statutory exemptions,

Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the clerk
of the City of Anaheim on or before 8:00 o'clock P.M. of Thursday,
the &,Lday of 5&p- hr - br, r, 1927, said time being not less
than tea days from the time of the first publication and posting
of this notice. Bids will be opened on said day and hour.
The foregoing Resolution is approved W signed this
day of 1927.
