03/24/1927-068IN THE MATTER OF PAVING EAST_ LA PALMA AVENUE IN.THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA. . RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 202. A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING OF A CERTAIN PORTION OF THE ROADWAY OF EAST LA PALMA AVENUE IN SAID CITY. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustee* of the City of Anaheim to order the following described street work to be done in said city, to-wits, That the roadway of the south half of East La Palma Avenue,, (sometimes-known as East North Street), extending from the easterly property line of North East Street, produced northwardly, to the easterly City limits of said city, be graded to the official grade and paved with Portland cement concrete pavement�' nine (9) feet wide and having an average thickness of six (6) inches, with a gravel shoulder four (4) feet wide along the south edge of said pavement. SECTION 20 TUt. said contemplated work and improve- ment, inthe opinion of the Board of Trustees, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, said Board hereby makes the expense of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district within said City of Anaheim, which district said Board hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be as- sessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which said district includes the northerly 200 feet of Lot 1. Anaheim-Zxtehsion, as shown on a map made by William Hwal and filed for record in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California the boundaries of said district being as shown on a map thereof marked and designated NDiagram showing District to be Assessed for Improvements on East La Palma Avenue, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 202 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, California,* which said map is on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City. SECTION No. That said work shall be done in accordance with the plans, profiles and specifications therefor, which plans and profiles were adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by Resolution, on the 27th day of August 1925,, and are marked and designated "East N=th Street or East La Palma Avenue, Paving Plan and Profile, Street Improvement No. 40. and are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and which said specifi- cations are on file in the office of the city Clerk of said CitY - 1 .0 and are entitled and designated as follows: NGeneral Specifications No. 36 for Public Work" and 9 ,Fpecifioations No. 37, feries of 1925 for the Construction of Portland Cement Concrete Strip PavemM. SECTION 44 That serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of $25.00 or over for the cost and expenses of said work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period of nine years from the second day of January next succedding the fifteenth day of the next November following their date, and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on.the second day of January every year after the fifthenth day of the next November following their date until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be paid semi-annually, by coupon, on the second days of January and July respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven percent per annum. on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. SECTION 5: That said Board of Trustees hereby fixes Thursday, the 10th. day of March, 1927, at the hour of eight o'clock P at the council chamber of said Board of Trustees in the City Hall iv- said City, as the time and place when and where any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work or improvement may ap- pear before said Board of Trustees and whow cause why said proposed work and improvement should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution; provided all such protests must be in writing and must be delivered to the City Clerk before the hour set for the hearing of objections. SECTION 6: That the Anaheim Bulletin is hereby designated as the newspaper printed, published and circulated in said Oit:Z' this resolution shall be p ublished, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish this resolution by two successive insertions in said newspaper. SECTION 7: That the Street Superintendent of said City shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement and in front of all property liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form required by law. SECTION 8: That all of the herein proposed work and improvement shall be done and said serial bonds shall be issued under and in pursuance of an Act of the Legislature of the State of C designated the #.Improvement Act of 1911 and all acts amendatory thereof.
