RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOA'PD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DE—
CLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE OPENING AND EXTENDING OF SOUTH
CLEMENTINE STREET, SOUTH DICKEL STREET, SOUTH HELENA STREET,
AND THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS "A ", "B", "C " , AND "D ", OF THE HESS
SUBDI`TISION.
RESOLE D BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:
SECTION 1: That the public interest and convenience re-
quire, and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
e City of Anaheim to order the following described street work
Ito be done in said city, to -wit; That South Clementine Street,
uth Dickel Street, South Helena Street, and the alleys in blocks
1"A ", "B", "C", and "D", of the Hess Subdivision, from the Northerly
roperty line of the Hess Subdivision to the Southerly line of
st Santa Ana Street, in the City of Anaheim, Orange County, Cal-
iifornia be laid out and opened.
SECTION 2: That the land necessary to be taken for said
rk and improvement is situated within said City of Anaheim,
is described as follows, to -wit:
Seven tracts of land situate in and across the Northerly 213
feet of Vineyard Lot G -5 as shown on a map thereof recorded
in Book 4 of Deeds, pages 629 and 630, Records of Los
Angeles County, California, all in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly
described as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1 Block A,
Hess Subdivision as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 15,
page 14, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California;
thence northwardly along the extended westerly line of Lots 1
to 11 inclusive of said Block A produced northerly, to a point on
the present southerly line of West Santa Ana Street, which
point is 109.78 feet westerly from the westerly line of South.
Lemon Street; thence westwardly along said southerly line of
?,est Santa Ana Street fifteen (15) feet; thence Sorthwardly along
the extended easterly line of Lots 12 to 22 inclusive of said
Block A produced northerly, to the Northeasterly corner of said
Lot 22; thence eastwardly along the northerly line of said Hess
Subdivision to the place of beginning.
And:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of Lot 22, Block A.
said Hess Subdivision, thence Northwardly along the extended
westerly line of Lots 12 to 22 inclusive of said.Block A produced
Northerly, to a point on said southerly line of West Santa Ana
Street, which point is 234.56 feet westerly from the westerly
line of South Lemon Street; thence westwardly along said
southerly line of West Santa Ana Street fif -eight (58) feet;
thence southwardly along the extended easterly line of Lots 1

Subdivision to the point of beginning.

easterly line of Lots 12 to 22 inclusive of said Block B
produced northerly, to a point on said southerly line of
west Santa Ana Street which point is 527.12 feet westerly
from the westerly line of South Lemon Street; thence
Westerly along said southerly line of west Santa Ana
Street fifty -eight (58) feet; thence southwardly along the
extended easterly line of Lots 1 to 11 inclusive,Bloek Q of
said Hess Subdivision produced northerly, to the northeasterly
corner of said Lot 1; thence eastwardly along the northerly
line of said Hess Subdivision to the place of beginning.

Hess Subdivision, thence Northwardly along the extended
westerly line of Lots 1 to 11 inclusive of said Block D produced
northerly, to point on said southerly line of 'hest Santa
Ana Street, which point is 987.46 feet westerly from the
westerly line of South Lemon Street; thenc westwardly along said
southerly line of West Santa Ana Street fifteen (15) feet;
thence southwardly along the extended easterly line of Lots 12 to
22 inclusive of said Block D produced northerly, to the
northeasterly corner of said Lot 22; thence eestwardly along
the northerly line of said Hess Subdivision to the point
of beginning.
Section 3; That the exterior boundaries of the district
of the lands to be affected and benefited by said pork and improve-
ment and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses
thereof, which said district is within the City of Anaheim, Coulty
of orange, State of California, are particularly described as
follows, to -wit;
Beginning at the intersection of the present westerly
line of South Lemon Street and the present southerly line
of Elm Street; thence southwardly along said westerly
line of South Lemon Street to its intersection with the
present northerly line of pest South Street; thence
westwardly along said northerly line of West South Street
to its intersection with the easterly line of South palm
Street; thence northwardly along said easterly line of
South palm Street to its intersection with the southerly
line of Elm Street; thence eastwardly along said southerly
line of Elm Street to the place of beginning, excepting
therefrom all portions of streets and alleys contained
within said district.
Section 4; All of the herein described street work shall
be done pursuant to the provisions of an act of the legislature
of the State of California, entitled, "An Act to provide for
laying out, opening, extending, widening, straightening, or
closing up, in whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley,
court or place within municipalities and.to condemn and acquire
any and all land and property necessary or convenient for that
purpose." approved March 6, 1889, and the several acts amenda-
tory thereof and supplementary thereto.

Section 5; This =Anaheim Bulletin, a daily newspaper of
general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City of Anaheim, is hereby designated as the newspaper in
which the Street Superintendentfs notice of the passage of this
resolution shall be published.
The Street Superintendent of said City of Anaheim shall,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to farthwith cause to
be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated
work or improvement, at not more than three hundred feet in dis-
tance apart, but not less than three in all, notices of the
passage of this resolution at the time and in the form and manner
required by law, and he shall also cause a notice, similar in
substance, to be published for a period of ten days in said news-
paper.
