12/29/1925-0397 r: !�:r� u�+: s � r ,, . , -� i c: r ry R ', ;t�' `� � t: t : t it:�a:� : � ► ,;i �i � � RESODyID BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES CF THE CITY OF ANUMIM: SECTION 1: That the public interest aW convenience require and the Board of Trustees of the City of Anabsim, pursuant to Resolution of Intent ion No. 186 passed and adopted by said Board of Trustees on the 13th day of October, 1925 hereby orders the following described street work to be done in said city, to-wit: That the roadway of So#b Illinois Street from the southerly property line of West Center Street to the northerly property line of 'West Broadway; the roadway of South Ohio Street, from the southerly property line of hest Center Street to the northerly property line of 'hest Broadway; and the roadway of Melrose Street from the southerly property line of East Center Street to the northerly property lies of East Santa Ana Street (excepting therefrom that portion of said roadway included between the northerly and southerly property lines of East Broadway and that portion of the westerly half of said roadway exte nding from the southerly line of East Broadway to a line parallel therewith and distant 321.55 feet southerly therefrom) be graded: to the official grade and paved with asphaltic comete paveneit five (5) inches thick and nominally forty two (42) feet in width between curbs. The portion of the above work to be Paid for by the City of Anaheim out of its treasury ooreists of all work on the easterly half of said roadway of South Ohio Street included between the extended northerly and southerly lines of Chestnut street, and said Board of;Trustees in said Resolution of Intention made the Wenses of all other work dw@Dable upon a district within said city, which said Resolution of Intention is hereby referred to br a description of the work and iml=ovenerrt and the property to be assessed therefor, and all other matters c once r ing said work and improvement . MOTION 2: It is further hereby determined and declared in pursuance of said Resolution of Intention No. 186 that serfal bonds shall be issued to represent assessments df $25.00 or over for the c oat and expenses of said mrk and improvement; that aid Se r ial bonds shall extend over a period of nine years from -1- the second day of Jgausry next succeeding their date, and an even annual proportion of the principal ,gym *06 shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year after their date until the whole is paid, arA the interest shall be paid semi--armMl3,V by coupon, on the 2rd days of JanuOy and July respectively, of ds year.,' - the rate of seven per cent per annum on all suns unpaid, until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. MOTION 3: All of the herein proposed work s a improvement s hal l be done andan said serial bonds shall be issued under and in pursuance of an Act Of the Legislature of the State of California; designated the "Improvement Act of 1911;" and all acts anendatory thereof. MOTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to post conspicuously for five days, oncor new the door of the oouncil chamber of the Board of Trustees of said Citgr, a notice of said work inviting sealed proposals or bids; and copies of & U-:,apeojfications nfttioned in said Resolution of Intention No. 186; he is also hereby directed to cause a copy of said notice to be publishe d twi ce in the Anahe i m Bul let in, a dal ly newspaper of gene ral circa l at ion, printed, . publish.ed and circulated in said City which said newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose. Said notice shall invite sealed R' op o sal s or bids for doing the work ordered and shall refer to the specifications posted and on file, and shall require all proposals or bids offered to be accomXnied by a check payable to the City of Anaheim, certified by a responsible bank, for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent of the aggregate amount of the proposal, or by a bond for the said amount and so payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties vho shall justify, be for e any officer competent to administer an oath, in double the said amount over and above all statutory exempt ions . Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City 'Clerk of said city on or before eight o'clock P.M. of Thursday, the 14th day of January, 1926.
