SECTION 1. That those certain specifications marked
"Specifications for Portable Air Compressor, aeries of 1924,"
which were filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim on the V da y of December, 1924, be and the same are
hereby adopted as specifications for a portable air compressor
for the City of Anaheim.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of said City be, and he
is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice once a weel
for a period of two weeks in the Orange County Plain Dealer, a
newspaper of general circulation, published in said City, calling
for sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing of said portable
air compressor in accordance with said specifications, to said
City. Said bids shall be received up to eight o'clock P. U. of
Thursday, the 22nd day of January, 1925, at the office of the
City Clerk of said City.
Said Notice shall require the bidders to state the name
Of manufacturer and time of delivery.
SECTION 3. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified
check in an amount equal to not less than ten per cent of the
amount of such bid, or by a bond in like amount, executed by two
sureties, who shall justify in double the amount of said bond in
the manner required by law, or by a corporate surety duly quali-
fied to execute such bond.
SECTION 4. The successful bidder must, within ten days
after the acceptance of his bid, execute an agreement with the
City of Anaheim for the delivery of said portable air compressor
within ten days after the execution of said agreement, and bond
in the penal sum equal to fifty per cent of the contract price

conditioned upon the faithful performance of such agreement. Such
bond shall be executed by at least two good and sufficient sure-
ties who shall justify in double the amount of bond in unencumber-
ed property within the State of California, or by a corporate sur -
ty, as provided by law. Such bond shall be subject to the apnro-
val of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim re-
serves the right to reject any and all bids.
The foregoing resolution is signed, approved and
attested by me this 26th day of December, 1924.
