(Adopting Specifications and calling for bids) RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: SECTION 1. That those certain specifications marked "Specifications for Fire Hydrants, Series of 1924," which were filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim on the l/ day of r, 1924, be and the same are hereby adop- ted as specifications for fire hydrants for the City of Anaheim. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice once a week for a period of two weeks in the Orange County Plain Dealer, a newspaper of general circulation, published in said City, calling for sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing of fire hydrants in accordance with said specifications, to said City. Said bids shall be received at the office of the City Clerk of said City up to eight o'clock P.M. of Thurs day, the Mh day o fi�t=r, 192J. Said Notice shall require the bidders to state the name of manufacturer and time of delivery. SECTION 3. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in an amount equal to not less than ten per cent of the amount of such bid, or by a bond in like amount, executed by two sureties, who shall justify in double the amount of said bond in the manner required by law, or by a corporate surety duly quali- fied to execute such bond. SECTION 4. The successful bidder must, within ten days after the acceptance of his bid, execute an agreement with the City of Anaheim for the delivery of said fire hydrants within ten days after the execution of said agreement, and bond in the penal sum equal to fifty per cent of the co ntract price conditioned upo the faithful performance of such agreement. Such bond shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim. The Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
