RESOLUT ION'.
(Adopting specifications and calling for bids)
RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM;
SECTION 1, That those certain specifications marked
"Specifications for Water Valves, Series of 1924," which were
filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City - of Anaheim on
the I- d of r, 1924, be and the same are hereby adop-
ted as specifications for crater valves.. for the City of .Anaheim.
SECTION 2, That the City Clerk of said City be, and he
iu hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice once a week
for a period of two weeks in the Orange County Plain Dealer, a
newspaper of general circulation, published in said City, calling
for sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing of crater valves
in accordance with said specifications, to said City. Said bids

shall be received up to eight o'clock P.M. of Thursday, the t&th

day of �, 1924, at the office of the City Clerk of said
City.
Said Notice shall require the bidders to state the name
of manufacturer and time of delivery.
SECTION 3. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified
check in an amount equal to not less than ten per cent of the
amount of such, or by a bond in like amount, executed by two sure
ties, who shall Justify in double the amount of said bond in the
manner required by law, or by a corporate surety duly qualified
to execute such bond.
SECTION 4. The successful bidder must, within ten daysi
after the acceptance of his bid, execute an agreement with the
City of Anaheim for the delivery of said water valves within ten
days after the execution of said agreement, and bond in the penal
sum equal to fifty per cent of the contract price conditioned upo
the faithful performance of such agreement. Such bond shall be e

said materials and supplies may be furnished at a lower price in the
open market and that it is hereby ordered and resolved that said mater-
ials and supplies be purchased in the open market as provided by law.
