That the City Clerk of said City be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice for a period of ten (10) days in the Oran;zre County Plain Dealer, a daily newspaper pub. lished in said City, calling for sealed- proposals or bids for the furnishing of the following described cast iron water pipe, to-wit 6,750 feet of 4 inch cast iron water pipe 6,300 feet of 6 inch cast iron viater pipe,, all of said wz,�ter pipe to be Class IICII and bids will be received on 12 'Loot lengths, 16 foot lengths and 5 meter lengths, in accordance with said specifications, to said City. Said bids shall be received at the office of the City Clerk of said City up to eight o'clock P.1% of Thursday the day of August 0 1 1924. 3. That said notice shall require the bidders to state the price per ton f or such cas tu iron pipe, flob, cars at Anaheim, California, name of manufacturer and ti, of delivery. 4. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in lan amount equal to not less than ten per cent of the amount of such bid, or by a bond in like amount, executed by two sureties, 1who shall justify in do the amount of said bond in the manner 1� required by law, or by a corporate surety duly qualified to exe- licute such bond. 5. The successful bidder must, within ten da= after W M W U W < 0 Z the acceptance of his bid, execute an agreement with the City Of FAnaheim for the delivery of said Cast Iron pipe f.o.b cars at Anaheim, California, sixty (60) days after the execution of such 4 i agreement, and a bond in the penal sum equal to fifty per cent of 5 the contract price, conditioned upon the faithful performance of 6 such agreement. Such bond shall be executed by at least two good 7 and sufficient sureties who shall justify in double the amount of over and above all statutory exemptions, 8 bond in unencumbered property within the State of California) o r i 9 Dy a corporate surety, as provided by law.
