A RESOLUTION of THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM PRO -
VIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND PAYMENT OF THE BONDS OF SAID CITY IN
THE SUM OF ONE HUNDRED TEN THOUSAND ($110,000.00) DOLLARS, FOR
THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF CERTAIN MUNICIPAI
IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF
SUCH BONDS, FIXING THE HATE OF INTEREST TO BE PAID THEREON, THE
DATE AND PLkOE OF PAYMENT OF SAID BONDS, PRINCIPAL AND INTER EST,
AND .FURTHER PROVIDING A SINGING FUND FOR THE PAYMENT AND RF,DM4T-
TION. `OF THE BONDS, PRINCIPAL AND INTEREST.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim,
at its regular meeting held on the 13th day of March, 1924, by
vote of two- thirds of all of its members, duly passed and adopted
a resolution determining that the public interest and necessity
demand the acquisition, construction and completion of certain
municipal improvements by the City of Anaheim, to -wit; The ac-
quisition, construction and completion of extensions and improve-
ments to the water works of said City, consisting of the drilling
of a water well for said City, and the installation of casing
therein, the acquisition and installation of a water pump to be
operated therein, the acquisition and installation of an electric
motor for the operation of said pump, the acquisition, construc-
tion and installation of water mains and pipes and the acquisi-
tion and installation of fire hydrants for said City; and said
resolution was duly certified by the Clerk of said City; and,
WMMUS 'thereafter, the Board of Trustees of the City
of Anaheim, by Ordinance No, 452, duly passed and adopted by the
vote of two- thirds of all of its members at its regular meeting
held on the 27th day of March, 1924, a special election was calle
and ordered to be held within the City of Anaheim on the 20th day
of May, 1924, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified eleo
tors of said`City of

and issuing the bonds

is hereby referred to for further particulars, and

4 day of May, 1924, duly held, in all respects fairly and legally,
and as provided by said Ordinance No. 452 calling the same and ini

WHEREAS, at said special election :there was submitted to
the qualified electors of the said City of Anaheim the one prop-
osition hereinbefore mentioned, and for the objects and purposes
recited in said Ordinance No. 452, and
WHEREAS, by a canvass of the returns of said special
election, which canvass thereof was made and had by the Board of
Trustees of said City of Anaheim, at a regular adjourned meeting
thereof held on the 26th day of kay, 1924, it appeared to and was
by said Board of Trustees found, established and entered of rec-
ord in the minutes of said meeting that Ut said special election
the votes of more than two-thirds of all the qualified electors
voting thereat were voted "Yes", and in favor of the proposition
submitted at such election, as aforesaid, and that a resolution
of said Board of Trustees to that effect was duly adopted at said
adjourned meeting, which said resolution is on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said City, and is hereby referred to for fur
ther particulars; and,
WHEMAS, the public interest and necessity demand that
said bonds be issued and sold at the earliest practicable date;
NOW. THEISFOBE, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Anaheim does resolve and determine as - -'L'ollows-.
SECTION 1, That bonds of the City of Anaheim shall be
issued and sold in the sum of One Hundred Ten Thousand 4110,000)

struction and completion of extensions and improvements to the

5 be known as "Water Works Improvement Fund of 1924 ", and the same i

7 ed in the Ordinance for which said bonds were issued.

at the rat of five (5) per cent per annum, payable semi - annually
on the ay of January of each and every year until said bond
and the indebtedness represented thereby shall have been paid,
the first payment of interest on each of said bonds being due on
the 15th day of January, 1925.

act authorizing the incurring of indebtedness by cities, towns,
and municipal corporations for municipal improvements, and regu-
lating the acquisition, construction, or completion thereof,"
which became a law February 25th, 1901, and all acts supplemen-
tary thereto and amendatory thereof.
It is further certified that all the requirements of 1
15 II and of the ordinances of the City of Anaheim have been fully
16 ; 1 1 complied with by the proper officers for the issuing of this
17� bond; that this issue of bonds has been authorized by the vote of

nor does it exceed the limit prescribed by the const itution and
laws of the State of California.
That before or at the time of incurring the indebtedness
evidenced hereby provision has been made for the collection of an
annual tax sufficient to pay the interest on such indebtedness as
it falls due, and also provisions to constitute a sinking fund fo�
J)he payment of the principal thereof on or before maturity.

SECTION 5. For the purpose of paying the principal and
interest of said bonds, the Board of Trustees of the City of
Anaheim shall at the time of fixing the general tax levy and in
the manner for such general tax levy provided, levy and collect
for the fund hereinafter provided for, annually, each year, until

such bonds are paid, or until there shall be a sum in the treasuri
of said City set apart for that purpose sufficient to meet all
sums becoming due for the principal and interest on all said bond
taxes sufficient to pay the annual interest on said bonds, and
also such part of the principal thereof as shall become due befog

Section 678 of the Political. Code of the State of California, to
forthwith by mail, postage prepaid, notify the State Board of
Control of the State of California, and the State Treasurer of
California, at the Capitol in the City of Sacramento, California,
of such issuance and sale of bonds, and shall specify the
purposes for which such bonds were voted, the amount of the
total issue of such bonds, the denomination of each bond, show-
ing the date of issuance and the date of maturity, and the rate

of interest, showing when and where payable, the assessed value
of the property on which such bonds are a lien, the total amount
of other bonded indebtedness which is a lien upon said property,
and shall, upon request of the State Board of Control, furnish
a full description of the proceedings leading up to such issue.
SECTION 8, The City Clerk of the City of .Anaheim shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and therefrom and
thereafter the sauce shall take effect and be in full force.
- The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim,
at a regular meeting of said Board of Trustees held on the 12th
day of June, 1924, end is on said 12th day of June, 1924, signed
and approved by me.
