RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY CF kTAHEI14:
WHEREAS. the City of Anahei.ra is engaged in the business

of distributing electricity for light, heat and power, in and

around said City, and

WHEREAS, the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company,
7
a corporation, is engaged in a general or public telephone and
8
telegraph system, or business, in said City, and
9
WHEREAS, both said 'City of Anaheim and said, The Pacific
10
11 Telephone and Telegraph Company, frequently have occasion to
place and maintain poles and pole lines upon and along the same
12
roads, highways, and other private and public places, for support
13
in the wires and appliances used in connection with their respec
14
Live businesses, and it is often desirable and often imperative
15
16 that certain poles be used jointly by said City and said Telephon
17 Company, in order to avoid having two or more separate poles or
pole lines at the same location or along the same route.

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the public interest and
convenience of the City of Anaheim demands that said City join
with said Telephone Company in an agreement whereby said City
and said Telephone Company may jointly use and maintain single
poles and pole lines in and around said City of Anaheim, wherever
such joint use may be practical,
Be it further resolved that the City .1danager of said
City be and he is hereby empowered to enter into an agreement
with said, The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company, providing
for said joint use and maintenance of said poles and pole lines,
according to general specifications for the construction of joint
ly used wood pole lines carrying supply circuits and signal cir-

cuits, and according to a proposed form of contract heretofore
submitted to said City, both of which are on file in the offied
