RESOLUTION NO. 72R-454
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM URGING THE ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS TO ESTABLISH ADEQUATE PROTECTION
FROM FLOODING OF SANITATION DISTRICT PLANTS
NOS. 1 and 2.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Orange County
Water Districts Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 11, have adopted
Joint Resolution No. 72-127 urging improved protection of their
Treatment Plants Nos. 1 and 2 from flooding by the Santa Ana
River; and
WHEREAS, it is essential to provide the maximum pro-
tection to these sewage treatment plants for the preservation
of the health, safety and general welfare of the citizens of
the County of Orange as well as the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, it is within the power of the County of
Orange to strengthen the levees of the Santa Ana River to
protect said Treatment Plants.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it urge and it does hereby urge the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange to establish
adequate protection from flooding of Sanitation Districts Sewage
Treatment Plants Nos. 1 and 2.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified
copy of this Resolution to each of the members of the County
Board of Supervisors of Orange County.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of October, 1972.
