RESOLUTION NO. 72R-449
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C<l>UNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIAN~ NO. 2424.
WHEREAS, after a request fQr variance by Standard Oil
of California, Owner; American Permit service, Agent, wu received,
a public hearing before the Planning CoIaIlission of the City of
Anaheim was held upon due and proper notice as a resul tof which
Variance No. 2424 was denied covering the following described
property:
The East 190 feet of the South 1:90 feet, measured along
the South line of said Section, of the Southeast quarter
of the Southeaet quarter of Section 7, Township 4 Sc)uth,
Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 51, page 10' of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of Orange County, Califo~nia.
Excepting therefrom that portion conveyed to the State of
California by deed recorded Decetnber 14, 1955, in Book
3315, page 518 of Official Records.
Also excepting that portion conveyed to the County of
Orange by DocU1lent No. 20953, recorded April 30, 1969,
in Book 8942, page 924 of Official Records.
WHEREAS, thereafter, wi thin the time prescribed by law
aa interested party or the City Council on its own motion caused
the review of said Planning C~ission action at a public hearing
noticed and held as prescribed by law and as a result thereof the
City Council does hereby make the following findings;
1. That there are special circuastances applicable to
the property, including size, shape, topography,
location or surroundings, which do not apply to
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the viCinity.
2. That, because of special circumstances shown in
(1) above, strict application of the zoning code
deprives the property of privileges enjoyed by
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the vicinity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a conditional zonJ.ng variance be, and
the lIUle i8 hereby granted, permitting the construction of two
lighter box signs in conjunction wi:th an existing free-standing
aicJn on the property hereinbefore described with waivers of the
following sections of the Anaheim Municipal Code:

That said variance is granted subject to the following condition:
That subject property shall be developed substantially
in conformance with plans and specifications on file
with the City of Anahea, marked Exhibits Nos. 1 and 2.
BE IT PURTHER .RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
reserves the right to revoke such variiance permit for good
cause or failure of said owner, its ~ccessors or assigns
to comply nth the Anahea Municipal Code and regulations and
the conditions herein. Said variance is granted for the term
prescribed by the Anahea Municipal COde unless otherwise specified
herein .
