A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIliNCE NO. 2422.
WHEREAS, after a request for variance by STANDARD OIL
OF CALIPOlUIIA, owner, and AMERICAN l'ERMIT SERVICE, agent, was
received, a public hearing before the Planning Commission of the
City of Anaheim was held upon due apd proper notice asa result
of which Variance No. 2422 was denied covering the following
described property:
That portion of the southeast quarter of Section 17,
Township 4 South, Range 10 West:, partly in the Rancho
Los COyotes and partly in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de
Santa Ana, in the City of Anaht;im, County of Orange,
State of California, as said s$ction is shown on a map
recorded in book 51 page 10 of Miscellaneous Haps, in
the office of the County Recorder of said County,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point South 2665.87 feet and West 30.00
feet from the northeast corner of said Section 17;
thence West 631.29 feet; thence South 413.82 feet; thence
East 630.96 feet; thence North 413.82 feet to the point
of beginning.
EXCEPT the South 247.00 feet thereof.
ALSO EXCEPT that portion thereo:f lying westerly of a
line parallel with and 203.00 feet westerly from the
center line of Euclid Avenue, a$ shown on the map of
Traot No. 3672 recorded in book 129 page 5 of said
Misoellaneous Maps.
WHEREAS, thereafter, wi thiJll the time prescribed by
law an interested party or the City Counoil on its own motion
caused the review of said Planning C~ssion action at a public
hearing noticed and held as prescribed by law and as a result
thereof the City Council does hereby make the following findings:
1. That there are special ciroumstances applicable to
the property, including si~e, shape, topography,
looation or surroundings, which do not apply to
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the viCinity.

2. That, because of special circumstances shown in
(1) above, strict application of the zoning code
deprives the property of privileges enjoyed by
other property under identical zoning classifioation
in the vioinity.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a conditional zoning varianoe be, and
the same is hereby granted permitting the oonstruction of two
"lighter box" signs and two canopy si,ns in oonjunction with an
existing free-standing sign on the property hereinbefore described
with waivers of the following sections of the Anaheim Municipal
Code:

That subject property shall be developed substantially
in conformance with plans and :specifications on file with
the City of Anaheim, marked E~.tbits Nos. l, 2 and 3.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
reserves the right to revoke such yariance permit for good cause
or failure of said owner, its successors or assigns, to coaply
with the Anaheim Municipal Code and regulations and tke conditions
herein. Said variance is granted for the term prescribed by the
Anaheim Municipal Code unless otherwise specified herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of October, 1972.
