A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CCi)UNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIANci:E No. 2412.

WBEREAS, after a request f9>r variance by Standard Oil
of California, OWner; American Permi~service, Agent , was received ,
. puDl~c hearing before the Planning:Comqlssion of the City of
Anaheim was held upon due and proper i notice as a result of which
"ariance No. 2412 was denied coverincJ the following described
property:

The Southeast corner of Via Burt.on Street and State
College Boulevard, in the City cl>>f Anaheim, County of
Oranqe, State of California, being that portion of
Lot 6 of South placentia Tract ~ in the City of Ana-
heim, as shown on a map thereof. recorded in Book 5,
page 42, Miscellaneous Maps, re<l:ords of said Orange
County, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Via
Burton Street, as described in 1:he deed to the City of
Anaheim recorded September 3, It59, in Book 4868, page
525, Official Records, with the Easterly line of the
land described in the deed to the State of California,
recorded in Book 2837, page 307, Official Records;
thence North 890 56' 44" East along said center line,
153.00. feet; thence South O. l5' 00." East parallel to
the Easterly line of said land conveyed to the State of
California 180..00. feet; thence South 890 56' 44" West
parallel with the centerline of Via Burton Street 153.00
feet to the easterly line of the land conveyed to the
State of California; thence North O. 15' 0.0." West along
said Easterly line 180..0.0 feet to the point of beginning.

an interested party or the City Council on its own motion caused
the review of said plann;ng Commission action at a public hearing
noticed and held as prescribed by la~ and as a re8u-l t thereof the
City Council does hereby make the following findings:
1. That there are special circumstances applicable to
the property, including size, shape, topography,
location or surroundings, Which do not apply to
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the vicinity.
2. That, because of special circumstances shown in
(1) above, strict application of the zoning code
deprives the property of privileges enjoyed by
other property under identical zoning classifica-
tion in the vicinity.
NOW, THEREPORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that a conditional zoning variance be, and
the same is hereby granted, permitting the construction of two
lighter box signs and four canopy signs in conjunction with an
existing free standing sign on the ~operty hereinbefore des-
cribed with waivers of the following sections of the Anaheim
Municipal Code:

That said variance be granted subject to the following condition:

in conformance with plans and sp.cifications on file
with the City of Anaheim, marked Exhibits Nos. 1, 2 and 3.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
reserves the right to revoke such variance permit for good
cause or failure of said owner, its s~ccessors or assigns to
comply with the Anaheim Municipal Codt$ and regulations and the
conditions herein. Said variance is ~ranted for the term
prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal C~de unless otherwise speci-
fied herein.
THE FOREGOING RESOWTION is approved and signed by me
this 3rd day of October , 1972.
