72R-441 --, ."", ~.. RESOLUTION NO. 74R-441 A RES.QLUTION OP THE CITY CQUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIANdE No. 2411. WHEREAS, after a request fqr variance by Standard Oil of California, OWner; American Permiti Service, Agent, was received, a public hearing before the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim was held upon due and proper notice as a result of which Variance No. 2411 was denied covering the following described property: The North 195.00 feet of the We~t 200.00 feet of the Northwest quarter of the South~st quarter of Section 7, in Township 4 South, Range 101 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, in the City of Ana~eim, County of OranCJe, State of California, as said sedtion is shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 101 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the Office of the County Recorder of said County. Said property is located at the Southeast corner of MagnOlia Avenue and Crescent Avenue. WHEREAS, thereafter, within! the time prescribed by law an interested party or the City Counc~l on its own motion caused the review of said Planning Cammissio~ action at a public hearing noticed and held as prescribed by laW! and as a result thereof the City Council does hereby make the fol[owing findings: 1. That there are special cirCUmstances applicable to the property, including sizje, shape, topography, location or surroundings, which do not apply to other property under identical zoning classifica- tion in the vicinity. 2. That, because of special citcumstances shown in (1) above, strict application of the zoning code deprives the property of pr~vileges enjoyed by other prOPerty under identical zoning classifica- tion in the vicinity. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that a conditionalL zoning variance be, and the saJlle is hereby granted, permitting the construction of one lighter box sign and two canopy signs in conjunction with an existing free standing,sign on the property hereinbefore des- cribed with vaiversof the following sections of the Anaheim Municipal Code: a. Section 18.62.090 (B-1) Minimwa distance between free-standing signs. (300 feet required; 10 feet proposed) MaxiJnum nUJlber of free- standing signs. (4 pro- posed; 1 permitted) Minimum sign height. (8 feet required~ 6-1/2 feet proposed) b. Section 18.62.090 (B-1) ,,- c. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke such v~iance permit for good cause or failure of said owner, its .uccessors or assigns to coaaply with the Anaheim Municipal. COde and regulations and the conditions herein. Said varianc~ is granted for the tem prescribed by the Anaheim Municipal ~ode unless otherwise specified herein .
