RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM# ORDER
ING SALE OF LAND.
WHEREAS, J. B. Rhoades has offered. the City of Anaheim
the sum of Fifty -four Thousand Eight Hundred. and Ninety -five
and 50/100 ($54,895.50) Dollars, for the purchase of certain
real property owned by said City and hereafter described, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of said City finds the
said sum offered. to be the full present value of said land. and
further finds that it would be for the best interests of said
City to sell and convey said land to said J. B. Rhoades, for the
price hereinbefore mentioned,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL7ED BY THE BOARD OF

19 the Southwest quarter (S'X'- of Section Nineteen (19), Township
Four (4) South, Range Ten (10) west, S. B. B. & M., estimated

Pacific Railroad Company by deed recorded in Book 37, page 199,

sum of Fifty -four Thousand Eight Hundred and ninety -five and
50(100 ($54,985.50) Dollars.
Section 2. That the president of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Anaheim, and the City Clerk of said City, be, and
they are hereby authorized and directed, as soon as this resolu-
tion shall take effect, to execute and deliver unto said J. B.
Rhoades, a good and sufficient deed of grant, granting and eon-

1 veying unto said J. B. Rhoades all of the right, title and
2 interest of the said City of Anaheim in and to said real prop -
3 erty hereinbefore described, upon the payment to the said City
4 of Anaheim, by the said J. B. Rhoades, of the sum of Twenty -
5 seven Thousand Four Hundred Forty -seven and 75/100 ($27,447.75)
6 Dollars and the execution and delivery to said City of said
7 purchaser +s promissory note for the sum of Twenty -seven Thousand
8 Four Hundred Forty -seven and 75/100 ($27.447.75) Dollars, due
9 two years after its date, and bearing interest it the rate of
10 seven per cent per annum, payable semi- annually and compounded
11 semi - annually at the sazbe rate if not so paid., secured by a
12 mortgage to be executed by said purchaser and his wife, if
13 married, in favor of said City, as security for the payment of
14 said note, which mortgage shall be a first lien against real
15 real property.
16 And they are further authorized and directed to pro -
17 cure forthwith, from an incorporated abstract and title company
18 within the County of Orange, an unlimited certificate of title,
19 shwsing the title tD said premises to be vested in the said
20 purchaser, free and clear from all liens and encumbrances except
21 said mortgage and the lien of taxes for the year 1924 -25, which
22 said purchaser agrees to pay.
23 Section 3. The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim shal
24 certify to the passage of this resolution, and cause the same to
25 be published once in the Anaheim Daily Herald, a newspaper of
26 general circulation, printed, published, and circulated in said
27 City, and thirty days from and after its final passage, it shall
28 take effect and be in full force.
29 The foregoing resolution was passed and. adopted at a
30 meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, held on
31 the 31st dap of January, 1924, and is signed, approved and
32 attested by me, this 31st day of January, 1924.
