RESOLUTION OF I PJTENTION NO. 17 P A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION OF ORNAauTENTAL LIGHTS ON 1 CENTER STREET AND LINCOLN AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim; Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the Board. of Trustees of the City of Anaheim to order the following described work to be done in said City, to -wit; that ornamental street lights shall be installed on the Southerly side of Vest Center Street from the ffesterly line of South Clementine Street produced Northerly, to the Easterly line of Iffalnut Street produced Northerly, and on the Northerly side of West Center Street from the 1 line of North Clementine Street produced. Southerly, to a line at right angles with said Vest Center Street and passing through the point of intersection of the centerline ofaralnut Street with the cente line of said Nest Center Street; excepting therefrom the portion along the Southerly side of ,Blest Center Street lying between a line 311 feet Easterly from the Easterly line of South Citron Street and a line 519 feet Easterly from said Easterly line of South Citron Street. Also excepting therefrom the portion along the Norther- ly side of west Center Street lying between the Easterly line of North Ohio Street and the Rester y line of North Citron Street. And that ornamental street lights shall be installed on 'the South side of Lincoln Avenue from the Westerly line of north. Said work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, which said plans were adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by resolution, on the 13th day of December, 1923, and are numbered 32, sheets 2 and 5, and are Narked and designated "Plan of proposed ornamental light installation on North Los Angeles Street and South Los Angeles Street, East Center Street and latest Center Street, and Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California," and are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and in accordance with said specifications which were adopted by the Board. of Trustees of the City of Anaheim on the 13th day of December, 1923, and which specifications are marked and designated "Specifications for the installation of ornamental street lights for the City of Anaheim," and. are on file in the office of the City Clerk. Section 2. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, the 31st day of January, 1924, at the hour of f6ur, - o } clock P.m,-, at the chamber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, in the City Hall Building; at No. 204 East Center Street, in said City, any and all persons having objections to the proposed work —5— I 2 3 4 5 i 6 i 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 or improvement may appear before the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim and show cause why said proposed. work or improve- ment should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution Section 3. That said Board of Trustees hereby further determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assess- ments.of $25.00 or over, for the cost and expense of said work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a perio of nine years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding their date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year after their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable semi - annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Calif- ornia entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places, and sidewalks within municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof, and providing a method. for the plEyment of such bonds," approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. Section 4. The Anaheim Daily Herald is hereby designa- ted as the newspaper printed, published. and circulated in said City, in which this resolution shall be published. The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated. work or improvement, and in front of all the property liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form required by law. All the herein proposed work and improvement and all proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and. providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof, and providing a method, for the payment of such bonds," approved April 7 1911, and. all acts amendatory thereof. Section 5. Insofar as said work of erecting, construc- ting and installing said ornamental light standards, fixtures and equipment involves and uses patented a:rticlas or patented pro- cesses, said work shall be done in accmrdance with the terms and conditions set forth in the license agreement entered into by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim and the holder of or Patents pending those certain United States Letters Patent /involved in Said work, which agreement is marked 'License Agreement B," is on file in th office of the City Clerk of said City of Anaheim and hereby refer ed to for further particulars.
