RESOLUTION OF INTENTION N0.1 77 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE INSTALLATION OF ORNAMENTAL STREET LIGHTS ON EAST CENTER STREET, IN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim; Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim to order the following described work to be done in said City, to -wit; that ornamental stmt lights shall be installed on the Southerly side of East Center Street from the Easterly line of South Philadelphia Street produced Northerly, to the ,Westerly line of South East Street produced Northerly, and on the Northerly side of East Center Street from the Easterly line of North Philadelphia Street produced Southerly, to the !�esterly line of North East Street produced Southerly. And, whereas, said contemplated work and improvement, in the opinion of the Board of Trustees, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, said Board hereby makes the expense of said work and improvement chargeable upon a district within said City of Anaheim, which district said Board hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, which said district is bounded and described as follows; Beginning at the Northwesterly corner of Lot 1 of the Music Hall Subdivision, as shown on a map recorded in Book 10, Page 19, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County'; California and running thence Easterly along the Northerly line of Lots 1 to 8 of said Music Hall Subdivision and said line extended to the Westerly line of Lot 6, Nemetz Addition, as shown on a map re- corded in Book 4, page 54, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange -1- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 County, California; thence Southerly along said Westerly line 13.5 feet; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of Lots 7 and 8 of said Nemetz Addition and said line extended to a point on the Westerly line of Lot 13, Block 5, Santa Fe Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 21, Page 49, Aiscellaneous Records, Los Angeles County, California; thence Northerly along said Westerly line 8.75 feet; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of Lots 13 to 22, Block 5, and Lots 13 to 22, Block 3, of said Santa Fe Tract, and said line extended to a point on the 'Nesterly line of Lot 29, of said Block 3; thence Southerly along the West- erly line of Lots 29, 28, 27, and 26 of said Block 3 to the Southerly line of said Lot 26; thence Easterly along the Southerl line of said Lot 26 to the Easterly line of said Lot; thence Northerly along said Easterly line and along the Easterly line of Lots 27, 28, and 29, 91.5 feet; thence Easterly along the ex- tended Northerly line of Lots 9 to 1, Block "A ", and Lots 12 to 1, Block "B", of Kroeger's Subdivision, as shown on a map record- ed in Book 5, page 34, 'miscellaneous Maps, Records of orange County, California, and. along the Northerly line of said Lots and along the Northerly line of said Lots extended Easterly to a point 2.5 feet Westerly of the Easterly line of Block tic" of said Kroegerts Subdivision; thence Southerly along a line parallel to and 2.5 feet Westerly from the said Easterly line of Block "C" and said line extended to a point on the Northerly line of Lot 3, Block IIC", Lorelie Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 29, Page 24, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California; thence Easterly along said Northerly line 2.5 feet; thence South - erly along the Easterly line of said Lot 3, 125 feet; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of Lots 3 to 1, Block "C ", Lots 13 to 1, Block "B", and Lots 13 to 1, Block "A" of said Lorelie Tract, and its extension to a point and. along the Southerly line Of Lots 47 to 56, Block "CI', and along the Southerly line of Lots -2- 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 48 to 58, Block "B" of the Hotel Del Campo Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 24, pages 69 and 70, �jiscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, and. said line extended to a point on the Easterly line of Lot 5, Rimpau Square, as shown on a map recorded in Book 15, page 20, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California; thence Southerly along the said ,East— erly line 10 feet; thence Westerly along the Southerly line of Lots 5 to 1 of said Rimpau Square and said line extended and along the Southerly line of Lots 13 to 1, Block "C", Center Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 14, Page 13, Miscell— aneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, to a point on the Westerly line of said Lot 1; thence Northerly along the West— erly line of said Lot 1 and its extension to the monumented centerline of East Center Street; thence Easterly along said monumented centerline to the extended Westerly line of Lot 1, Music Hall Subdivision, as heretofore described; thence Norther— ly along said Westerly line extended and along said Westerly line to the point of beginning, excepting therefrom any land within said boundaries contained which is now a part of any street or alley. Said work shall be done in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor, which said plans were adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by resolution, on the 13th day of December, 1923, and are numbered 32, sheets 1 and 5, and are marked and designated "Plan of proposed ornamental light installation on North Los.Angeles Street and South Los Angeles Street, East Center Street and rarest Center Street, and Lincoln Avenue, Anaheim, California," and are on file in the office of the City Engineer of said City, and in accordance with said specifications which were adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim on the 13th day of December, 1923, and which specifications are marked and. designated "Specifications for the installation of ornamental street lights for the City of me 2 3 4 j 'I 6 i 7 8 9 'I 10 a 11 it 12 13 11 14 N. 15 i r ii 16 i 17 18 r 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 Anaheim," and are on file in the office of the City Clerk. Section 2. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, the 31st day of January, 1924, at the hour of o'clock p.1,4., at the chamber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, in the City Hall Building at No. 204 East Center Street, in said City, any and all persons having objections to the proposed work or improvement may appear before the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim and show cause why said proposed work or improve- ment should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution Section 3. That said Board of Trustees hereby further determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assess- ments of $25.00 or over, for the cost and expense of said work and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a perio of nine years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding their date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year after their date, until the whole is paid, and the interest shall be payable semi - annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January and July, respectively, of each year, at the rate of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Calif- ornia entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places, and sidewalks within municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof, and providing a method for the payment of such bonds." approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. -4- Section 4. The Anaheim Daily Herald is hereby designa- 2 ted as the newspaper printed, published and circulated in said 3 1 City, in which this resolution shall be published. 4 6 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 is 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 The City Clerk of the City Of Anaheim is hereby direct— ed to publish this resolution by two successive insertions in said newspaper, and to post the same for two days conspicuously on or near the chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said City of Anaheim. The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or improvement, and in front of all the property liable to be assessed, notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the manner and form required by law. , All the herein proposed work and improvement and all proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades 6f any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof, and providing a -wethod for the payment of such bonds," approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof. Section 5.
