7 day of May, 1923, publioly open, examine, and deoiare all sealed

proposals or bids for doing the following work under Resolution

That the roadway of South merest

Said work shall be done in accord-
ance with the plans, profiles, and speci-
ficatinnS therefor, which said plans and
profiles were adopted by the Beard of
�'frustees of the City of Anaheim, by
resolvtion, or the 15th day of March,,
1223, and are numbered 22 and 23, re-!
spectively and are marked and desig- j

in the office of the City Engineer of
said city, and which Paid specifications
were adopted by the Board of Trustees
of the; City of Anaheim on the 8th day
of March, 1f-23, and are marked and
designated "Specifications No. 28, for
the construction of street paving witL
hydraulic concrete base and asphaltic
concretr w earing S urface. "
All of the herein proposed work and
improvement and all proceedings taken
in regard thereto shall be in pursuance
of and in accordance with an Act of
the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia, entitled "An Act to provide for.
work in and upon streets, avenues,
lanes, alleys, courts, places and side-
walks within municipalitieE and upon
property and rights of way owned by
munic;palities and for establishing and
changing the grades of any such
streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts,
places and sidewalks, and providing for
the issuance and payment of street im-
provement bonds to represent certain
assessments for the cost thereof and
providing a method for ?he payment of
such bonds," approved April 7, 1911,
and all acts amendatory thereof.

Resolved that the said Board of Trustees hereby rejects
all of said proposals or bids except that neat herein Mentioned,
and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improve-
ment to the lowest responsible bidder, to -wit: Griffith
Company, at the price named in their bid.
The Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to
post notice of this award conspicuously for five days on or near
the chamber door of the council chamber of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Anaheim, and also publish said notice twice in
the Orange County plain Healer, a daily newspaper published
and circulated in the City of Anaheim and hereby designated for
that purpose by said Board of Trustees.
The foregoing resolution is signed, approved and
attested by me, this 10th day of May, 1923.
