A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
5 DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE PAVING OF CERTAIN PORTIONS
OF SOUTH PEST STREET AND OF NORTH EMILY STREET, WITHIN THE CITY
6 OF AV AHFI M.

Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim

9 SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience
10 require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
11 the City of 'Anaheim to order the following; described street work
12 to be done in said city, to —wit:
13 That the roadway of South West Street from the souther—
ly property line of Vest renter Street produced west
14 erly across
15 the roadway of said South West Street to the northerly property
16 line of West Broadway Street produced westerly across the roadway
17 of said South Pest Street (exce?nting therefrom that portion of
18 the roadway of South West Street lying between the northerly
19 property line of Vilest Chestnut Street vroduced easterly to the
20 center line of the roadway of said South West Street and the south
21 erly property line of West Chestnut Street produced easterly to
22 the centerline of the roadway of said South West Street); and
23 That the roadway of North Emily Street from the souther -
24 ly property line of East Chartress Street produced easterly across
25 the roadway of said North Emily Street to the northerly property
26 line of East Center Street produced easterly across the roadway of
27 said Forth Emily Street;
28 be graded to the official grade and paved with hydraulic concrete
29 base and with asphaltic concrete wearing surface.
30 Said work shall be done in accord with the plans,
31 profiles, and specifications therefor, which /plans and profiles

were adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, by

n the 15th day of March, 1923, and are numbered 22
and 23,E and a_ re marked and designated "Plan of proposed improve-
ment of South Vest Street," and "Plan of proposed improvement on
North Emily Street," and are on file in the office of the City
Engineer of said city, and which said specifications were adopted
by the Board of Trustees of the lity of Anaheim on the 8th day of
March, 1923, and are marked and designated "Specifications No.
28, for the construction of street paving; with hydraulic concrete
base and asphaltic concrete wearing surface."
SECTION 2. Notice is hereby given that on Thursday,
the 12th day of April, 1923, at the hour of eight o'clock P. M.,
at the chamber of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, at
Room One in the Hasonic Temple Building at No. 255 East Center
Street, in said city, any and all persons having objections to the
proposed work or improvement may appear before the Board of
Trustees of the City of Anaheim and show cause why said proposed
work or improvement should.not be carried out in accordance with
this resolution.
SECTION 3. That said Board of Trustees hereby further
determine that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assess-
ments of X25.00 or over, for the cost and expenses-of said work
and improvement; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period
of nine years from the second day of January, next succedding
their date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum
thereof shall be payable, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January
every year after their date, until the whole is paid, and the
interest sha;l be payable semi - annually, by coupon, on the 2nd
day of January and Julv, respectively, of each year at the rate
of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole
of said principal and interest are paid.
Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the
provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of California

entitled, "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues,
lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities
and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities and
for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets,
avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and provid-
ing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to
represent certain assessments for the cost thereof, and providing
a method for the payment of such b.onds, " approved April 7, 1911,
and all acts amendatory thereof.
SECTION 4. The Orange County Plain Dealer is hereby
designated as the newspaper printed, published and circulated in
said city in which this resolution shall be published.
The City Clerk cf the City of Anaheim is hereby direct-
ed to publish this resolution by two successive insertions in said
newspaper, and to post the same for two days conspicuously on
or near the chamber door of the Pcard of Trustees of said City of
Anaheim.
The Street Superintendent shall immediately cause to be
conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or
improvement and in front of.all the property liable to be assessed
notice of the passage of this Resolution of Intention in the
manner and form required by law.
All of the herein proposed work and improvement and all
proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of and
in accordance with an Act . of the Legislature of the State of
California, entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon
streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks with
in municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by
municipalities and for establishing and changing the grades of
any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and side-
walks, and. providing for the issuance and payment of street im-
provement'bonds to represent certain assessments for the cost

1 thereof and providing a method for the payment of such bonds,"
2 approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.
3 The foregoing Resolution of Intention is signed,
4 approved and attested by me this 15th day of March, 1923.
