RESOLUTION ORDERING 71ORX. RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM: SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require and the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 172 of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheiir, v, said Resolution of Intention No. 172 was duly passed and adopted by said Board. of Trustees on the 15th day of Maroh, 1023, hereby orders the following described street work to be done in said city, to -?pit: That the roadway of Walnut Street from the southerly property line of West Center Street produced westerly acmes the roadway of said Walnut Street to the northerly property line of hest Broadway Street produced westerly across the roadway of said Walnut Street (excepting therefrom that portion of the roadway of Walnut Street lying between a line extended from the point of intersection of thel easterly property line of Walnut Streetj and the northerly property line of West Chestnut Street to the center line of the roadway of said Walnut Street and at right angles thereto and a line extend -` ed from the point of intersection of the easterly property line of Walnut Street and the southerly property line of West Chestunt Street to the center line of Walnut Street and at right an- geles thereto); That the east half of the roadway of North Citron Street from the north- erly property line of West Center Street produced westerly to the center) line of the roadway of said North Cit- ron Street to the southerly property line of West Cypress Street, produced westerly to the center line of the road -' way of said North Citron Street (ex- cepting 'therefrom that portion of the east half of the roadway of North Ci,t-. ron Street lying between the norther- Street property Chartres westerly to the center lire of the roadway of said North Cit- ror Street and the southerly property line of West Chartres Street produced westerly to the center line of the road- way of said North Citron Street); That the roadway of North Helena Street from the southerly property line !of West Cypress Street produced west- erly across the roadway of said North Helena Street to a line parallel to and distant northerly at right angles 44.75 feet from the center line of West Center Street (excepting therefrom that portion of the roadway of North Helena Street lying between the north- erly property line of West Chartres Street produced westerly across the roadway of said North Helena Street and the southerly property line of said Chartres Street produced westerly across the roadway of said North Helena Street); That the roadway of South Helena Street from a line parallel to and dis- tant southerly at right angles 44.75 feet from the center line of West Center Street to the northerly property line of West Broadway Street produc- ed westerly across the roadway of said South Helena Street (excepting' there from that portion of the roadway of South Helena Street lying between 'the' northerly property line of Oak Streetl produced westerly across the roadway of said South Helena Street and the i southerly property line of Oak Streeti produced westerly across the roadway of said South Helena Street, and that portion of the roadway of Southl Helena Street lying between the i northerly property line of West Chest -1- 5 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 nut Street produced westerly across the roadway of said South Helena: Street and the southerly property line! Plan of proposed improve- ment on North and South Helena. Street," and "Plan of proposed im- provement on North Zeyn Street," re- spectively and are on file in me office of the City Engineer of said City, anu which said specifications were adopted' by the Board of Trustees of the Cityl of Anaheim on the 8th day of March, 1923, and are marked and designated as number 29, "For the construction of street paving with asphaltic concrete base, and asphaltic concrete wearing surface." i SECTION 2. It is further 'hereby determined and declar- ed,in. pursuance of said Resolution of Intention No. 172, that serial bonds shall be issued to represent assessments of $25.00 or over, for the cost and expenses of said work and improvements; that said serial bonds shall extend over a period of nine years from the second day of January, next succeeding their date and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be pay- able, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January every year after their date, until the whole is paid, and the inter- est shall be payable semi - annually, by coupon, on the 2nd day of January and July, respectively, of each year at the rate of seven per cent per annum on all sums unpaid until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued under and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of Califonria, entitled "An Act to provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and side- walks within municipalities and upon property and rights of way owned by municipalities, and for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent cer- tain assessments for the cost thereof, and providing a method for the pay- ment of such bonds," approved April ?. 1.411, and all acts amendatory thereof. SECTION 3. All of the herein proposed work and improve- dent and all proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in Pursuance of and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "An Act to ;provide for work in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and side - walks within municipalities and upon property and rights of way mimed by municipalities and. for establishing and changing the grades of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of street improvement bones to represent certain assessments for the cost thereof and providing a method for the payment of such bonds," approved April 7, 1 9 and all acts amendatory thereof. SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Anaheim is hereby directed to post conspicuously for five days,on or near mm 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 the chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said City of Anaheim, a notice of said work inviting sealed proposals or bids and a copy of specifications No. 29, adoyDted by the Board of Trustees of the said City of Anahei.rn on the 8th day of March, 1923; he is also directed to cause a copy of said notice to be published twice in the Orange County Plain Dealer, a daily newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said city, which said newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose. Said notice shall invite sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered and shall refer to the specifications post- ed and on file, which notice shall require all proposals or bids offered to be accompanied by a check payable to the City of Anaheim, certified by a responsible bank for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent of the aggregate of the proposal or by a bond for the said a,nount, so payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to admini an o ,.th, in double the said. amount and over and. above al'. statutory exemptions. Thursday, the 10th day of May, 1923, is hereby designated and fixed as the day on which, up to the hour of eight o'clock P.
