That the -public interest and also the rublic 11 12 necessity demands the construction and completion of a certain 13 municipal improvement by the City of Anaheim, to -;pit: the comple- 14 t ion of the public rark in saif city comnonly known as "Anaheim 15 Park ", including the installation and planting thereon of trees, 16 flowers, lawns and shrubbery, and the installation, construction 17 and completion of the walks, drives, parkings and other irmrove- 18 ments necessary or ironer for a municipal park, including such 19 ir!provements in aid of rublic recreation as are rerr -fitted to said 20 City of Anaheim under the lags of the State of California. 21 The construction and completion of said municipal 22 improvement is necessary and convenient in order to carry out the 23 objects, purposes and powers of the city of Anaheim in providing 24 for the health and comfort of the citizens of said city. 25 The cost of said r_?unicipal imrrovement is estimated to 26 be the sum of One Hundred Thousand 0'100 Dollars, and is 27 and will be too great to be raid out c,f the ordinary annual in- 28 come and revenue of said City of Anaheim. 29 SECTION 2. That the public interest and also the public 30 necessity demands the construction and cormletion by the Oity of 31 Anaheim of a municipal irmrovement, to -wit: street work, consist - 32 -1- 1 ing of grading and raving of certain street intersections in said 2 city, to-wit: the intersection of South 'hest Street and Chestnut -3 Street, the intersection of north litron Street and !hest ('•hartres 4 Street, the intersection of South Palm Street and Chestnut Street,' 5 the intersection of South Palm Street and Oak Street, the inter- 6 section of North Palm Street and Test Chartres Street, the inter-, 7 section of North Helena Street and Test Chartres Street, the 8 intersection of South Helena Street and Oak Street, the inter - 9 section of South Helena Street and Chestnut Street, the inter - 10 section of South Helena Street and Third South Street, the inter- 11 section of North 7eyn Street and 'Jest Sycamore Street, the inter- 12 section of North 7eyn Street and Test Alberta Street, the inten- 13 section of North 7eyn Street and Test Tilhelrnina Street, the 14 intersection of Fast Sycamore Street and North Philadelphia 15 Street, the intersection of East Sycamore Street and Emily Street, 16 the intersection of Fast Sycamore Street and North Claudina 17 Street, and the re-surfacing of certain parts of Lincoln Avenue 18 between North Test Street and the westerly boundary line of 19 said city. 20 The construction of said street work is necessary and 21 convenient in order to carry out the obects, purposes and powers 22 of the City of Anaheim. 23 The cost of said street =vork is estimated at Twenty - 24 five Thousand (M5,000-00) Dollars, and is and will be too great 25 to be paid out of the ordinary inc or and revenue of said city. 26 3FCT1ON 3. That the rl.),bl.ic interest and also the public 27 necessity demands the completion by the City of Anaheim of a. 28 certain municipal improvement, to -wit: the completion of a cer- 29 Lain building in the City of Anaheim for municipal uses, contain - 30 ing offices for city officials, a roam or chamber for the holding 31 of meetings of the Roard of Trustees, and other officials, boards 32 -2- 1 and tribunals of said city, rooms for the housing and safekeeping 2 of prisoners of said city, to be used for the purpose of a city 3 jail, and rooms and quarters for the housing of fire apparatus of 4 said city, and for the necessary accormodations for members of 5 its fire department. 6 That the completion of said building is necessary and 7 convenient in order to carry out the objects, purposes and powers 8 of the City of _Anaheim. 9 That the cost of said completion of said building is 10 estimated at Forty Thousand ('*40, 000. ^0) Dollars, and is and 11 will be too great to be paid out of the ordinary annual income 12 and revenue of said City of Anaheim. 13 14 The above and foregoing Resolution was, at a re ar n 15 meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, held I 16 on the G - day of 1922, gassed by the vote of 17 two- thirds and more of all the members thereof, as follows: 18 AYF s, Trustees 19 ?
