CLEMENTINE STREET A11D SOTITR ^LEMENTM. STREET IN THE 11ITY OF
AVAHMM, STATE OP CALIFORIIIA.
RESM ITION OF AWARD nF CONTRACT
RESOLVED, that the Poard of Trustees of the City of
Anaheim, having in open session of the 14th day of Septen -ber,
1922, opened, examined and publicly declared all sealed proposals
or bids offered for the following street work_, to -spit:
1 first. That the roadway of North
C1�mentine Street in said city from the
southerly property line of West Cy-
press Street, produced Westerly across
the roadway of North Clementine Street
to a line produced westerly across the
road%N ay of said North Clementine
Street, said line being parallel to and
Forty -four and seventy -five hundredths
(44.75) feet northerly from the center
line of West Center Street (excepting
ihcrcfrom that portion of the roadway
f North Clementine Street lying be-
tween the northerly and southerly
I ,perty lines of West Chartres Street
produced westerly across the roadway
of paid North Clementine Street), be
traded to the official grade and paved
with hydraulic concrete base and with
a: phaltic wearing surface.
Second. That the roadway of South
Clementine Street in said city, from a
line produced westerly across the road-
way of, said South Clementine Street,
said lire being parallel to and distant
southerly forty -four and severity -five
hundredths (44.75) feet from the center
line of West Center Street, to the
northerly property line of West Broad-
way Street, produced "%NTesterly across
the roadway of said South Clementine
Street (excepting therefrom that por-
tion of the roadway of said South Clem-
entine Street lying between the North-
erly and Southerly property lines of
I)ak Street produced Westerly across
the roadway of said South Clementine
Street, also excepting therefrom that
portion of the roadway of said South
Clementine Street lying between the
Northerly and Southerly property lines
of Chestnut Street produced Westerly
across the roadway of said South Clem -
entine Street and excepting therefrom
that portion of the roadway of said
South Clementine Street lying.between
the Northerly and Southerly property
lines of 3rd South Street produced
westerly across the roadway of said
South Clementine Street);
Be graded to the official grade and
paved with hydraulic concrete base
and with asphaltic wearing surface.
Said work shall be done in accord-
ance with the plans, profiles, and spe-
cifications therefor, which said plans
and profiles were adopted by the Board
of Trustees of the City of Anahem, by
resolution on the 27th day of April,
1922, are numbered "14" and are marked
and designated "Plan of proposed im-
provements on Clementine Street, Ana-
heim Calif.," and are on file in the
office of the City Engineer of said
City, and which said specifications were
adopted by the Board of Trustees of the
City of Anaheim by resolution on the
28th day of July, 1921, and which said
specifications are marked and desig-
nated "Specifications No. 26 for the
Construction of Street paving with hy-
draulic concrete base and asphaltic
wearing surface in the City of Anaheim.
California," which said specifications
are on file in the office of the City
Clerk of the City of Anaheim.

and there having been offered only one bid or sealed proposal
for said street work, to -gait: the bid of George R. Curtis here-
inafter mentioned;
Said Board of Trustees hereby awards the contract for
doing said work to the lowest responsible bidder, to -wit:
George H. Curtis, at the price specified in his proposal on
file for said work, to -grit: for grading and navin7 per square
foot: twenty -six cents (.26)
The city Clark of the City of Anaheim is hereby direct-
ad to post a notice of this award conspicuously for five days
on or near the chamber door of the 'Board of Trustees of said
City of Anaheim a d also publish said notice by two insertions
in the " ", ay newspaper, printed, published
and circulated in said city and hereby designated for that
purpose by said Board of Trustees.
The City Clark of the ^ity is further instructed to
post conspicuously for five days on or near the chamber door of
the Board of Trustees of said city a copy of the Specifications
for said work, which said specifications are marked and designat-
ed "Specifications No. 26 for the lonstruction of Street paving
with hydraulic concrete base and asphaltic wearing surface in

the City of Anaheim, California," which said specifications were
adopted by the Board of Trustees by resolution on the 28th day
of July, 19 ?,2, which said specifications are on file in the
office of the City Clark of the City of Anaheim in the City Hall
in said city.
All of the herein proposed work and improvement and
all proceedings taken in regard thereto shall be in pursuance of
and in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California, entitled, "An Act to provide for work in and upon
streets, avenues, lanas, alleys, courts, places and sidewalks

1 within municipalities, and upon property and rights of way owned
2 by municipalities, and for establishing and changing the grades
3 of any such streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places
4 and sidewalks, and providing for the issuance and payment of
5 street improvement bonds to represent certain assessments for
6 the cost thereof and providing a method for the payment of such
7 bonds." Approved April 7, 1911, and all acts amendatory thereof.
8 The foregoing resolution is signed, approved and
9 attested by me this 28th day of September, 1922.
