1 WHEREAS, the Roard of Trustees of the City of Anaheir -,
2 did on the 25th day of JU17, 1921, pass and adopt a resolution
3 entitled, "In the matter of the widening of the south side of
4 Chestnut Street in the City of Anaheim, State of California,"
5 in Which said resolution J. 1. Schneider, Jas. E. Stewart, and
6 W. E. Duckworth were arpointed commissioners to assess the
7 benefits and damages and have general supervision of the proposed
8 work or improvement refarred to in said resolution, to -wit:
9 That the south side of Chestnut Street in said City, from the
10 west property line of South Los Angeles Street to the easterly
11 property line of South Lemon Street be widened to a uniform �
12 width of 34.75 feet southerly from and parallel to the center
13 line of said Chestnut Street, until the completion of said
14 proposed work or improvement in compliance with law and the
15 statutes in such cases-made and provided; and
16 WHEREAS, thereafter said corLnissioners did qualify in
17 the manner and within the time required by law; and
18 WHEREAS, said Commissioners have made their assessment
19 of benefits and damages and have made and filed in the office of
20 the City Clerk of said City a written report thereof to the
21 Roard of Trustees of the City of Anaheim and have attached to
22 said report a plat of the assessment district, in the manner and
23 form and at the time required by law; and
24 WHEREAS, after the filing of said report and plat the
25 City Clerk of the City of Anaheim did give notice of such filing
26
by causing to be published for at least ten days in the grange
27
County Plain Dealer, a daily newspaper of general circulation,
28
printed, published and circulated in said City, a notice of the
29
filing of said report, which said notice required all persons

interest/to show cause, if any, why such report should not be
31
confirmed before the Roard of Trustees of the lity of Anaheim,

1 on or before the 31st day of =July, 1922, all of which will more
2 fully appear from the affidavit of R. W. Ernest on file in the
3 office of the City Clark of the City of Anaheim; and
4 WHEREAS, after the filing of said report and prior
5 to the said 31st day of July, 1922,- -----
6 a person interested in said -work or improvement, did file in
7 the office of the City Clerk of said City, his objections in
8 writing to said assessment and report; and
9 IFRFAS, at the next meeting after the said 31st day
10 of July, 1922, to —wit: on the loth day of August, 1922, the
11 City Clerk of the City of Anaheim, did lay said objections
12 before said Board of Trustees,
13 NOW THEREFORE, RE TT RESOLVED by the Board of
14 Trustees of the City of Anaheim:
15 SF ^TTOr 1. That said Board of Trustees does hereby
16 fix Thursday, the ?4th dal of August, 1922, at the hour of 8
17 o'clock P. df., at the chwifber of the Board of Trustees of said

City, at Room 1 in the Masonic Temple Building, at Mo. w55

Fast Centex Street, in "he 'pity of Anaheim, California, as the
20
time and place for hearing said objections.

SECTION 2. That the "Pity Clerk of the City of Anaheim
22 be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to notify said
23
the said objector, of the time and
24
place of said hearing by depositing a notice thereof in the
25
United States Post — office in the City of Anaheim, postage pre —
26
raid thereon, addressed to said
27
The foregoing resolution was introduced and was passed
28
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of
29
the city of Anaheim, held on the 10th day of August, 1922, and is
30
signed, approved and attested by me this loth day of August,
31
1922.
