RESOLUTION NO. 72R- 392
-
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
on the 22nd day of August, 1972, declare by Resolution No.
72R-367 its intention to vacate and abandon certain property
described herein, and did set the 12th day of September, 1972,
for a public hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, on said 12th day of September, 1972, at
1:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chamber in the City Hall of
the City of Anaheim, said public hearing was held; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence
submitted at said public hearing that these certain easements
located east of Dale Avenue, north of La Palma Avenue, are
unnecessary for present or prospective public utility purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds that said public hearing was properly
held and that all notices were given and publications
made as required by law.
2. That those portions of the real property toward which
a request for vacation and abandonment was directed
are not necessary for present or prospective public
utility purposes and does hereby order that said
portions as herein set forth, be and they are hereby
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use.
3. That said portions of real property herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use are
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange,
State of California, and are more particularly
described as follows, to wit:
PARCEL 1:
An easement for either or both pole lines, conduits and
incidental purposes as conveyed to Southern California
Edison Company, a corporation, as set forth in an instru-
ment recorded August 12, 1959, in Book 4838, page 20,
Official Records, over a strip of land 10 feet in width,
the centerline of which is described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the easterly line of Dale Avenue,
as now established, distant northerly 385 feet from the
southerly line of said Northeast quarter; thence Easterly
and parallel with said southerly line a distance of 4
feet to a point hereinafter referred to as Point "A";
thence continuing Easterly 350 feet to a point hereinafter
referred to as Point "B"; thence continuing Easterly and
parallel with said southerly line a distance of 580 feet.
A strip of land 6 feet in width lying within said Grantor's
property, the centerline of said strip being described as
follows:
Beginning at said Point liB"; thence North 95 feet.
Two strips of land each 2 feet in width lying within said

Grantor's property, the centerline of said strips being
described as follows:
Strip #1: Beginning at said Point "A"; thence Southerly
35 feet.
Strip :/1:2: Beginning at said Point liB"; thence Southerly
35 feet.
Said easement was assigned to the City of Anaheim by Assign-
ment recorded July 3, 1970, in Book 9337, page 335 of
Official Records.
PARCEL 2:
An easement for poles and electric power lines over, under
and across the northerly 10 feet of the southerly 390 feet
of said land, and the easterly 10 feet of the southerly
390 feet of said land, excepting therefrom the westerly
954 feet lying within the easement above described, as
conveyed to the City of Anaheim, a municipal corporation,
by deed recorded June 9, 1966, in Book 7955, page 975 of
Official Records. ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom said easterly
10 feet of the southerly 390 feet.
PARCEL 3:
An easement for poles and electric power lines over, under
and across the northerly 10 feet of the southerly 350.43
feet of said land as conveyed to the City of Anaheim, a
municipal corporation, by deed recorded April 10, 1968, in
Book 8578, page 602 of Official Records.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be
and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause a certified
copy of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the
seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 12th day of September, 1972.
