RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. /60
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DE-
CLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER THE LAYING OUT AND OPENING OF A
15 -FOOT ALLEY FROM THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF LOT 8 AND LOT 9, BLOCK
"A ", VILLA TRACT, TO THE NORTHERLY LINE OF LOT 7 AND LOT 10, IN
SAID BLOCK "A" IN SAID CITY.
RESOLVED By the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience
require and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Anaheim to order the following described street work
to be done in.said city, to-wit: That a 15 -foot alley be laid
out and opened in said city from the southerly line of Lot 8 and
Lot 9 of R1 ock "A" in the Villa Tract t o the northerly line of
Lot 7 and Lbt 10 in said Block "A" in said city.
SECTION 2. That the land being necessary to be talon
for said work and improvement is situate within the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of 0alifornia, and is described
as follows, to -wit:
Beginning at the northwesterly corner of
Lot 7, Block "A", Villa Tract, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 14, page 44, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Ang les County, Oalifornia;
thence easterly along the northerly line of Lot
7 of said Block "A ", 7,.5 feet; thence southerly
parallel to the westerly line of said Lot 7 and
parallel to the westerly line of Lot 8 of said
Block "A ", 80.09 feet to the southerly line of
said Lot 8; thence westerly along said souther-
ly line and along the southerly line of Lot 9
of said Block "A , 15 feet; thence northerly
parallel to the easterly line of said Lot 9 and
parallel to the easterly line of Lot 10 of said
Block "A ", 80.10 feet to the northerly line of
said Lot 10; thence easterly along said norther-
ly line 7.5 feet to the place of beginning.
SECTION 3. That the exterior boundaries of the district
of the lands to be affected and benefited by said work and improve-
ment and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses
thereof, which said district is within the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of !"alifornia, are particularly described as
follows, to -wit:

1 Beginning at the northeasterly corner of Lot
7, Block "A ", Villa Tract, as shown on a map
2 recorded in Book 14, Page 44, Miscellaneous
Reoords of Los Angeles County, California;
3 thence southerly along the easterly line of
said Lot 7 and along the easterly line of Lot
4 8 of said Flack "A and along the easterly line
of Lots 1, 2 3 4 5, 6 and 7, Block 1, West
5 Broadway Tract, as shown on a map recorded in
Book 4, Page 88, Miscellaneous Maps of Orange
6 County, California, 419.21 feet to the south-
erly line of said Lot 7; thence westerly along
7 said southerly line and along said southerly
line extended and along the southerly line of
8 Lot 14, Block 1 of West Broadway Tract, 350
9 feet to the westerly line of said Lot 14; thence
northerly along said westerly line and along the
10 westerly line of Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20
of said Block 1 and along the westerly line of
11 Lots 9 and 10, Block "A" Villa Tract, 419.58 feet
to the northerly line of said Lot 10; thence
12 easterly along said northerly line and along said
northerly line extended and along the northerly
13 line of Lot 7 of said block "A ", 330 feet to the
place of beginning;
14 excepting therefrom the land heretofore described as the land to
15 be taken for the laying out and opening of a 15 -foot alley, and
16 also excepting any land within said boundaries contained which is j
17 now a part of a public street or alley.

18 SECTION 4. All of the herein described street work shall
19 be done pursuant to the provisions of an act of the legislature
20 of the State of California, entitled, "An Act to provide for lay-
21 i out opening, extendin widenin , strai hteni or closing

up, in whole or in part any street, square, lane, alley, court or
23
place within muunicipalities and to condemn and acquire any and
24
all land and property necessary or convenient for that purpose,"
25
approved larch 6, 1889, and the several acts amendatory thereof
26
and supplementary thereto.

SECTION 5. The Orange County Plain Dealer, a daily news-
28
paper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated
29
in said City of Anaheim, is hereby designated as the newspaper
30
in which the Street Superintendent's notice of the passage of
31
this resolution shall be published.

The Street Superintendent of said City of Anaheim shall,
and he is hereby authorized and directed to forthwith cause to be
conspicuously posted along the line of said contemplated work or
improvement, at not more than three hundred feet in distance apart,
but not less than three in all, notices of the passage of this
resolution at the time and in the form and manner required by
law, and he shall also cause a notice, similar in substance, to be
published for a period of ten days in said newspaper.
The foregoing resolution was passed .and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim
on the 13th day of July, A. D. 1923, and is signed, approved and
attested by me this 13th day of July, 1922.
