RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DETER -
7 MINING THE RESULT . OF A SPECIAL TONICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID
CITY ON THE 4TH DAY OF APRIL, 1922.

dYHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Anaheim, did,

by Ordinance No. 416, of said city, entitled: "An ordinance call.
10
ing and providing for and giving notice of a special election to
11
be held in the City of Anaheim, State of California, on Tuesday,
12
the 4th day of April, 1922, the object being to submit to the
13 qualified electors of said city propositions to incur debts by
14
said city for the following purposes: The acquisition, construc-
15
t ion and completion by the City of Anaheim, jointly with the City
16
of Santa Ana, of a joint, - outfall .ee' -r; and the acquisition, con -
17
struction and completion by the City of Anaheim of an outfall

sewer," passed and adopted on the 23rd day of February, 1922•

call and order to be held in said city, a special election on
20
Tuesday the 4th day of April, 1922, for the purpose of submitting
21
to the qualified electors of said city, a proposition to incur
22
a bonded indebtedness by the City of Anaheim to the amount of
23
Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80 for the purpose of the ac-
24
gaisition, construction and completion by the city of Anaheim,
25
jointly with the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of
26
a certain municipal improvement, to -wit, a joint outfall sewer,

consisting of a sewer treatment site upon which to construct and
28
the construction of a sewer treatment plant, including all neces-
29
30 nary structures, apparatus, appliances, machinery, and equipment
31 for the reception of and for the proper, sufficient and scientif-
32 treatment of sewage, together with all necessar'fghts of

One Hundred and Sixty Thousand D®l lars ($160 for the pur-
pose of the acquisition construction and completion by the City
of .Anaheim of the following. municipal improvement $ other and dif-
ferent from the municipal improvement hereinbefore described*
to -wit* an oatf'all sewer, together with all necessary rights of
way upon which to construct and the construction of an outfall
sewer pipe line including the acquisition of all necessary pipe
and the payment of the cost and expense of installing said sewer
pipe lime.
WHEREAS, bsid Ordinance No. 410 calling and ordering said
Special Election was published in the fora and manner and for the
time required by law, and
WlHEREAS, it appears that said special election was held in
accordance with the law and in accordance with said call and
that the polls at said special election were kept open during the
time required by law, to -wit, from 6 o'clock in the forenoon of
said day to 7 o'clock in the afternoon of said day, and that said
special election was held and the votes thereat received canvas-
sed and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared
in the time, form and manner as required by the laws of the State
of Californiat and the ordinances of the City of Anaheim* and
WHEREAS* on Monday, the 10th day of April 1922 the Board
of Trustees of said city met at their usual place of meeting
at the hour of eight o'clock P« M. • and proceeded to and did can -
vase the returns of said special election* and the results of
said special election having been ascertained and determined,

1 WHEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED, DETEPJAMED ZD DECLARED AS
2 FOLLOWS:
3 SECTION I. That the propositions voted upon at said special
4 election were the propositions hereinafter set forth and were
5 stated as follows:
6 First• Shall the City of Anaheim incur a bonded debt to the
7 amount of $80 for the acquisition, construction, and com-
8 pletion by the City of Anaheim, jointly with the City of Santa
9 Ana, a municipal corporation, of a certain municipal improvement,
10 to -wit, a joint outfall sewer, consisting of a sewer treatment
11 site upon which to construct and the construction of a sewer treat -
12 meat plant, inoluding all necessary structures, apparktLus, appli-
13 ano a s, machinery # and equipment for the reception of and for the
14 proper sufficient and scientific treatment of sewage, together
15 with all necessary rights of way upon which to construct and the
16 struotion of an outfall sewer pipe line, including the aoquisi»
17 Lion of all necessary pipe and the payment of the cost and expense
18 of installing said sewer treatment plant and sewer pipe line.
19 Second. Shall the City of Anaheim incur a bonded debt to
20 the amount of $1600000000 for the acquisition, construotion, and
21 completion, by the City of Anaheim of a certain municipal improve -.
22 went, other and different from the said joint outfall sewer, to-
23 wit, an outfall sewer together with all necessary rights of way
24 upon which to construct and the construction of an outfall sewer
25 pipe line including *he acquisition of all necessary pipe and the
26 payment of the cost and expense of installing said sewer pipe line
27 SECTION 2 That for the purpose of holding said special
28 election the eleven voting precincts theretofore created and es-
29 tablished by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange

All of said election precincts so established by said Board.
of Supervisors lying North of East Center Street and Vest Center
Street in said City# and being numbered I llp 2► 39 and 4 were
consolidated into and constituted one voting precinct known as
consolidated election precinct No. 1.
That all of said election precincts so established by said
Board of Supervisors lying south of East Center Street anal West
Center Street in said City of Anaheim and being numbered 5, 6,
7, 8 9 and 10 in said City of Anaheim, were consolidated into and
constituted one voting precinct known as consolidated election pre
cinot 1W, 2•
SECTION 36 That the total number of votes cast at said speo-
ial election in consolidated election precinct No. 1 was

and did thereby authorize the incurring of a bonded debt by the
City of Anaheim to the amount of and for the purpose stated there-
fore bonds of said City will be issued to defray the cost of the
improvement specified in said proposition to the amount above
stated.

The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular
adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Ana-
heim, held on the 10th day of April, 1922 and is signed, approv-
ed and attested by me this 10th day of April, 1922,
