72R-344 RESOLUTION NO. 72R-344 "~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM OF THE TERRITORY KNOWN AND DESIGNATED EAST LA PALMA ANNEXATION. WHEREAS, said Local Agency Formation Commission author- ized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice and hearing and without an election pursuant to the authority vested in said Commission by Section 54797.1 of the Government Code; and WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim is authorized to approve said annexation by resolution without notice and hearing pursuant to the approval of said Local Agency Formation Commission and Section 54797.1 of the Government Code. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim finds: That the City of Anaheim submitted proof satisfactory to the Local Agency Formation Commission that all of the owners of land within the territory proposed to be annexed have given their signed consent to such annexation. That said territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of California, and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim, and is uninhabited territory. That said consent signed by all of the owners of land within the territory proposed to be annexed contained a description of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this resolution described. That the City of Anaheim filed said request to annex said territory, containing the specific boundaries of the terri- tory to be annexed, with the Local Agency Formation Commission and said Local Agency Formation Commission approved said annexa- tion request of the City of Anaheim pursuant to Section 54797.1 of the Government Code. That on the 26th day of July, 1972, the Local Agency Formation Commission duly adopted Resolution No. 72-106 in which said Commission authorized the City of Anaheim to annex said territory in accordance with Section 54797.1 of the Government Code and further approved such annexation of said territory with- out notice or hearing. That the Local Agency Formation Commission further by resolution, authorized the City Council of the City of Anaheim to annex said territory without notice or hearing by the City Council and without the requirement that an election be held by the City on the question of said annexation. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the annexation of the territory included within the boundaries of the East La Palma Annexation, more particularly described as follows, to wit: -l- That parcel of land located in the County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: --..-- Beginning at a point in the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, said point being the southwest corner of the Orangethorpe - La Palma Annexation to said City, certified by the Secretary of state August 24, 1970; thence leaving said City limit line along a line bearing S 810 52' 49" W, 373.84 feet to an intersection with the westerly line of the land described in deed recorded March 18, 1968 in Book 8545, page 43, Official Records of said Orange County; thence following along the westerly line of the land described in the last mentioned deed and the northerly prolongation thereof, the follow- ing courses and distances: N 10 02' 44" E, 311.00 feet; S 880 57' 16" E, 25.00 feet; N 10 21' 32" E, 645 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the northerly right of way line of La Palma Avenue 106 feet wide, said point of intersection being in a curve concave northwesterly and having a radius of 1,947 feet, a radial line bearing S 80 56' 09" E passes through said point; thence North- easterly along said northerly right of way line of La Palma Avenue along said curve through a central angle of 60 31' 53" an arc distance of 221.97 feet to the beginning of a reverse curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 2,053 feet, a radial line bearing S 150 28' 02" E passes through the point of beginning of said reverse curve; thence Northeasterly continuing along the northerly right of way line of said La Palma Avenue along the last mentioned curve through a central angle of 60 59' 12" an arc distance of 250.36 feet to an intersection with the west line of Lot 3, Tract No. 925, as shown on a map recorded in Book 29, pages 42, 43 and 44, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, said point of inter- section also being a point in the existing City limit line of the City of Anaheim, as established by the aforementioned Orangethorpe-La Palma Annexation, a radial line bearing N go 28' 50" W passes through said point of intersection; thence following along a portion of said City limit line, the following courses and distances: S 00 15' 40" E, 107.30 feet along a portion of the west line of said Lot 3 to an intersection with the southerly right of way line of said La Palma Avenue, said point of intersection being in a curve concave southeasterly and having a radius of 1,947 feet, a radial line bearing N 90 29' 24" W passes through said point; thence Northeasterly and Easterly along the southerly right of way line of said La Palma Avenue along the last mentioned curve through a central angle of 90 22' 54" an arc distance of 318.8 feet to an intersection with the east line of Lot 3 of said Tract No. 925, a radial line bearing N 00 06' 30" W passes through said point of intersection; thence following along a portion of the easterly line of said Lot 3 S 00 19' 50" E, 700 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the southerly line of said Tract No. 925; thence following along a portion of the southerly line of said Tract No. 925, the following courses and distances: S 750 28' 30" W, 329 feet, more or less; S 440 53' 10" W, 195 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. -2- -"~ is hereby approved and said territory is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, state of California, and is hereby designated as the East La Palma Annexation to the City of Anaheim. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that from and after the date of the adoption of this resolution and the filing of a certified copy thereof with the Secretary of state of the State of California, the annexation of the territory herein described shall be deemed to be and shall be complete and thenceforth such annexed territory shall be, to all intents and purposes, a part of the City of Anaheim, and from and after the effective date of such annexation, all property therein shall be subject to taxation equally with the property within the City of Anaheim and shall be taxed to pay its proportionate share of the existing indebtedness and liability of said City of Anaheim contracted prior to or existing at the time of such annexation pursuant to the written consent of the owners of property in said annexed territory filed with the Clerk of the City of Anaheim prior to the adoption of this resolution.
